Pyrex Ultimate OV-7211 Red 6 Cup Rectangle Glass Storage Lid - 4 Pack

So glad I found these covers to replace the original thin plastic ones that came with my rectangular glass Pyrex containers! The Pyrex glass bowls are often sold with these lids, but not the rectangular containers. These are so much nicer than easily- cracked plastic lids. You can see contents from the top and they are stain- resistant, eco-friendly, and heat resistant. ( Avoid putting them in microwave with lid on tight, as they will pull down tight like a canning jar lid and be hard to remove. Does no harm to lids, but a quirk- and the plastic ones are definitely not for microwave use) These should last many years of constant use! They also fit the same size container by Anchor Hocking. Love them!

Prior to ordering these lids, I first had the stock blue lids that didn't have a seal. When the blue lids cracked and fell apart, I purchased the upgraded gray lids, which had rubber seals embedded in the lids. However, these rubber seals never stayed in place, often fell out, and you could never get them to fit back in the lids, which made them just as worthless as the original blue lids. After all these years, Pyrex has finally seen the error of their ways and has designed these silicone rubber and glass lids, which actually seal and have a seal that stays in place. It's about time Pyrex!

This glass lid fits well on our 6 cup pyrex dishes. Using these for general storage but especially in my son's HotLogic mini oven for lunches. We don't like heating plastic so these are perfect. Good strong seal.
