These are not Mitutoyo's top of the line. However they get the job done if you are looking for digital calipers on a budget. Seeing that there are made in China I was suspicious that they were knock offs. I called Mitutoyo and they confirmed that this model number is in fact theirs and they are made in China.

Perfect for casual/hobby use, WAY better than any knockoff/replica/cheapo caliper. There are other better Mitutoyo calipers easily found in the $90 range, but if you can get this one for around $60 or less, its totally worth it. I got it for about $45 from Amazon Warehouse Deals which is an awesome price for the 8" model

Bought this for an engineer friend and he said it works great, very handy and accurate on reading the wire gauge, material thickness etc. And he’s happy about it.

This is a fake mitutoyo caliper. It does come with no box. No warranty paperwork. Not accurate.

THESE CALIPERS ARE FAKE. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE OTHER REVIEWERS POSTING 4 AND 5 STAR SAYING THESE ARE GREAT CALIPERS. THEY DO NOT RESET AT ZERO WHEN TURNING ON, THEY DO HAVE THE SR44 BATTERY BUT STATE ON THE NAME PLATE ON THE BACK THAT THEY ARE MADE IN CHINA. BATTERY IS JAPAN, CALIPERS ARE CHINA. DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU ARE EXPECTING REAL MITUTOYO. I WILL BE SENDING THESE BACK.

I have used Mitutoyo calipers exclusively for years. I have never experienced a problem with the calibration and accuracy. Thank you for making an outstanding product!
