Good drill for the price!
This is a good hammer drill for a DIY. I used it with an ordinary masonry bit to drill into a concrete foundation, and it handled the job with ease. However, consistent with its low $40 price, it is not made for a heavy duty construction environment. Therefore, I would recommend the drill to a handyman for light to medium jobs but would not recommend it for a professional on job sites. By the way, the chuck worked fine, did not loosen up, and the drill had plenty of power. In addition, the handle provided adequate support and was easy to to install on the drill.

Nice affordable hammer drill
I needed a hammer drill to install some concrete anchors for a septic tank lid and since I knew that I wouldn't need to use it all that often I didn't want to spend hundreds on one. This is a perfect medium duty unit for the homeowner/diy'er. So far I've used it to drill pilot holes for concrete anchors and tapcon screws and its done the job with ease. The adjustable handle and depth gauge are nice and functional. For $50 this thing definitely punches above its weight class.

Perfect Medium-Duty Masonry Holes
For the price I expected a low build quality suitable for light duty masonry drilling. But I was pleasantly surprised. The gearbox cover and depth guage were both metal when I expected plastic. The drill cord features an integrated chuck keeper, an unexpected organizing feature. Now the handle has raised plastic squares that fit into metal slots on the drill to hold it in the user selected position. This interface, with a soft part mating with such a hard channel, is an obvious area to watch for future failure. But I still expect to get a long useful life from the handle. It is certainly better than a friction only handle mount. Additionally the handle screws together in a tool free way, so adjusting the position is convienent. The switch on the top swaps between hammer and normal drilling. Though if you just need a strong drill without the hammer action (for drilling masonry) there are better options. I can wholeheartedly recommend for light and medium duty applications. If my job depended on a hammer drill I find a different and heavy duty one.

good drill, great price
It's a decent little hammer drill. I've seen and used better, but those also cost a whole lot more. This is a great bang-for-your-buck hammer drill. I used this during finishing a basement, and probably drilled 100 1/4" holes about 5 inches deep into solid concrete. Performed flawlessly. For the low cost of this drill, you can't beat that.

MORE POWER!!!
Yeah!!! I got some feathers and wedges and wanted to use them to bust up some stupid rocks sticking out all over my yards. My regular drill and even regular cordless hammer drill weren't cutting it, literally. This thing ROCKS! HA Get it? Cause I needed to use it on rocks? Ahem. Anyhow. This drill isn't expensive. It's a good quality drill - feels well made and feels great to use. The bit takes the large 1/2" bits I have. It TEARS through rocks! It is also SUPER LOUD! WEAR EAR PROTECTION!! But boy oh boy this thing is a beast! I can now drill through ANYTHING I come across here! What's next? Who wants some!??!!?

Great for the price
I used this for drilling into walls to put up hurricane shutters on a house. This drill kept going all weeked without a problem and was fast in hammer mode - the 3 1/4 inch holes for tapcons were done in seconds.Only problem I had was using a tapcon attachment to screw in the tapcons. The drill has too much power for driving tapcons, it broke the head off the first three I tried.Updated: March 2022.... I finally wore it out after years of diy. I bought another just in case I need one again.

Drills through brick like butter
It took me way too long to finally order a heavy duty drill like this. I poured sweat, tears, and some blood into trying to mount a bike rack on a brick wall with my tiny drill. While I did eventually succeed, it was a terrible time.So I caved and bought this drill, and man do I wish I'd done it sooner. My apartment is almost a century old, so when I drill into the wall normally (even slowly), layers of plaster and wallpaper come up all around the screw. This drill is powerful enough that I can use the hammer function to make a hole and it goes so clean. Drilling through brick was like nothing, it was an amazing experience. I kind of wish I had more things to hang on the wall just so I can use it more.

All plastic drill
I have used it yet but I was disappointed when received as the silver portion of the drill casing is not metal. It’s plastic and painted silver to look like metal.
