I was super excited to say the least
The media could not be loaded. OK so I received my three in one today. I was super excited to say the least. I opened it up slowly & pull it out of its package. I connected all 4 wires. The one power and the tri-color RWY. I out an NES Game in and it worked perfect. I was 12 all over again. I played for about 30 minutes. Then I decided to try an SNES Game just checking to make sure everything is working properly. Super Mario Cart had me hooked for another 30 minutes. Then come to probably my favorite system of the 3, the Genesis. I pop in NBA jam tournament edition. Just like I remember. It play perfect for like 30 minutes. I stopped turn the system off to go make myself some dinner. I finished eating and I think I want to play some more NBA jam. I come back in the room turn the system on the game comes on it makes it a little music and stuff , I find out my Controller isn’t working. So I am plugged it check it out plug it back in, still not working. It’s now been seven hours later and the controllers for the Genesis are not working neither port. I know it’s not the controller because I have a standalone Genesis system that works. So needless to say the Genesis part of the game system at least to control reports are not working. But the other two systems the Nintendo and super Nintendo everything works fine. SI be aware when you buy the system. I’m going to send it back to the seller and hopefully they’ll send me one that would does work correctly.Update: Since I wrote the review the company, at no cost to me sent me another unit. Needless to say I’m still having issues. Now It seems that there may be an issue with the game itself. Or maybe the controllers. But both controllers not working. That seems a bit unlikely. Not to say it’s not the issue. But a bit unlikely. So I popped in my only other two games. And low and behold the controllers aren’t working imo. Those games either. So it seems that the controllers are indeed the issue. So again I applaud the company for their fast action of getting me a new unit. I’m giving you guys 5 stars. So if your a person thinking about buying this system. I say spend the money. It’s totally worth it. And if you have an issue, let them know and they will do whatever it takes to remedy the problems. A++ if I could give you guys 10 ********** stars I would.

It's dangerous to go alone. Take this!
Oh boy, I am so happy to own this nice system! First I spent $150 on a new RetroN 5 console, which is very nice. However, I wanted to be able to play homebrew cartridge games, which RetroN can't do, at least not that I know. I own a copy of the Legend of Zelda: Parallel Worlds on SNES, which is a fan version of A Link to the Past with a high difficulty. The RetroN couldn't read the game. I found out that it's because it works by emulation. I asked around and a Retro Duo console was recommended to me, so I bought it. After I hooked up the system, I put in my Zelda fan game and boof! It worked! Once I saw the Triforce form on the screen, I got so excited! This game plays flawlessly. If it can play an unofficial SNES game, I'd say it can handle official ones just as well.I own some Sonic homebrew Genesis carts. They are Sonic 2 Retro Remix and Sonic Crackers. Sonic Crackers will freeze and I can't even play it because it freezes on the "SEGA" screen at the beginning. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the cartridge itself or this console. Retro Remix will work, but the colors appear a little washed out and it will freeze after playing for a few minutes. I have an official copy - made by SEGA - not homebrew or bootleg - of Jurassic Park on Genesis. The screen will just kindof shake at the beginning and a little bit during gameplay. This game also freezes. From the other reviews of this console I've read here, I guess this is a common thing when you have this console hooked up to an HDTV. I'm probably going to just get a real Sega Genesis again instead because I don't own an old school tv anymore. Supposedly the Genesis part of the Retro Trio works better on an old tv. (Hint: check out thrift stores. You can get cheap old tvs there.)Another issue I had with the Genesis part is that it has like a death grip on the Genesis cartridges. I had trouble getting the carts to fit in right at first and was afraid that I was going to break something. Luckily I didn't. It's loosened up a little bit since I first tried it though. Is the Altered Beast werewolf in there starving, trying to eat Genesis cartridges? Maybe.I can deal with the Genesis issues by just getting a real Genesis or an older tv. You live, you learn. Alanis Morissette said it best. The fact that it plays SNES carts flawlessly - on an HD screen no less - is simply amazing. I have not checked out the NES part yet, but I'm not worried about it. At the time of writing, a complete working SNES console costs at least $85. I'm not sure how much an original working NES costs, but you're already saving $30 just by getting a Retro Trio or even a Retro Duo. The fact that I'm saving money and shelf space on classic consoles is also great. Overall, I really enjoy this system and am looking forward to playing more games on it. If only it could play N64 carts too!

Prepare to re-visit your youth...
I wish I could give 4.5 stars...So here is my review based on the first month and some basic trails with this console. I did a little research before buying a retro console as there are a couple of options out there - however Retro-Bit seems to have the best overall rating across multiple sites and this RetroTrio is the pick of the bunch in terms of features.First impressions - As a few others reviews have picked up on, the plastic is pretty light and hard. It doesn't feel like it would stand up to the rigours of smaller children for a long time, but looks can be deceiving. The buttons all engage well and the cartridge slots hold the games well. Overall I feel its a nice piece of design that would benefit from some very slightly better materials. The controllers fall under the same category - lighter and cheaper feeling than an original SNES one, but this is less of an issue in my mind as they are easily replaceable. I've already picked up a genuine Nintendo SNES controller and plan to find a NES and Genesis one as well.Set up was easy - I'm using a 40" Toshiba LCD from around 2010 and have it hooked up using just the composite leads (no need for the S-Video).So the big test - the games. I'm originally from the UK so wanted to test both locally sourced NTSC games and some UK PAL games (thank you Amazon.co.uk). To date I've found the following:NES - I've tried an NTSC copy of Super Mario Bros and a PAL copy of Super Off Road. Both games worked fine using the region selector switch, but I did experience a couple of issues. As reported by others, the colour is slightly off on both games (specifically greens) and the PAL cartridge had a little interference at the top of the screen - likely caused by the different screen set ups they were intended for.SNES - I've tried a number of NTSC games (my wife still had half a dozen of her old SNES games) and they all worked perfectly. No issues with sound or colour and even the last saved games from the 90's were still there on the cartridge memory. Sadly my only failure so far was my PAL copy of International Superstar Soccer which simply gave me Konami's warning screen that the game was not designed for the region I was in - despite is being on the PAL mode. I will be trying a few more PAL SNES games in time as I still have a bunch in a box somewhere.Genesis (Mega Drive) - So far I've only been able to test a PAL copy of NHLPA 93 but it works perfectly. Like the NTSC SNES games the sound and colour were perfect. Another point raised by others that I agree with is that the supplied SNES-style controllers aren't really the best for the Genesis games. I will be investing in RetroBit's Genesis controller to give the proper 3/6 button experience.So. Overall I love it and it was well worth the cost. I have a machine that lets me play most of the games from my youth and lets me source them from both of my home countries. As I said at the start, if I could I would take off half a star for the off-colour on the NES games and the brittle plastics, but really no more than that. Definitely recommended for anyone looking to get into some retro gaming without having a shelf full of old consoles.

Not compatible to TV SETS
The console does not connect to TV sets in India it comes with the standard red yellow and white audio video connecting jacks which connect well with the TV sets but it has an additional black jack which has no where to go in te TV SETS.BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

Fun machine to play your old carts on
Works beautifully so far, all games used have worked. All original controllers workonly gripe is the sound processing is not up to par of the original snes. Sound feels more high pitched and crackly. Also, NES games on S-video connection have some colour problems
