Great quality. German fan unit in nice stainless enclosure
Great quality. German fan unit in nice stainless enclosure. This is sold as both Best brand and Broan. I believe they are the same unit and Broan are priced at a lower price point on the internet. I installed this with an older Italian Best hood which still looks great but had fan problems with no available parts. Used a Broan elctronic speed control switch. Worked great. This fan is a POWERFULL unit.

Powerful no question about it
It will suck water out of the pans if you like... :) not really, but has all the power for the smokiest chef.. if you expect a powerful fan this is one of the only options and it delivers

Didn't fit my project, disappointed.
I was so excited when I was able to purchase this blower. I got the technician to come over and examine the blower and how to install it. He then purchased the other accessories required, then he began his work, cutting the ceiling over the range showed immediate issues, cut another area showed section support, he cut another area of the ceiling and noticed greater issues.We planned on sending the blower to the roof, and this to failed since the bathroom is above the kitchen, which he will have the have too many bends and avoid the solar panels on the roof.I'm so very disappointed, this blower isn't going to be installed.Please can you help!

Wow, this unit really sucks. I mean it sucks the smoke away from our grill better than I had hoped.

Massive, and totally over priced
So in my opinion this is an ok product, its just totally over priced for what you’re getting. REMEMBER this is not a fan, in fact its not even close. Its a way to make a whole lot of air escape your house fast and will support bigger fans from an updraft or downdraft system. Problem is because its sooooooo big you will likely need to hide it far away from a normal output from the house. I ended up needing to put it on my roof because its so big. That said I needed to add squirrel fans in several locations to move air all that distance. Again if your in a commercial space and want to really move a lot of air and have a HUGE motor/fan or maybe a hood setup for glass blowing or something you may be fine. But honestly you will not be getting much for the price. I will also say I had to have it altered by a metal smith to reduce the flange because it was massive too. meh....
