I attach the thermometer to my swim buoy while open water swimming. It gives accurate results of the water temperature.

Works good for checking the water temperature. The flamingo will fade if in direct sun after the 1st or 2nd summer.

This little flamingo thermo is perfect for our new pool. The ONLY thing I wish is that the cord it comes with was a bit longer, just 3 more inches & it would be perfect. We tied it to the bottom of our railing in the deep end & it seems to stay submerged enuf to give fully accurate readings. It generally is within 1 degree of what our heater reads. The flamingo has already faded but that’s to be expected. Now she just looks a little more realistic! Good thermo for the $$ and easily replaceable.

Cute and worked....but died this summer so didn't make it through 2 seasons

I was excited to have a flamingo monitor our pool temps. Unfortunately her brilliant colors faded almost immediately. She's still floating and monitoring the temps well, but her rose brown color doesn't imbue our pool with happiness.

I wanted to double check my hot tub temperature, so I bought this cute floating flamingo thermometer. It is easy to read and looks super cute floating around in the hot tub! I think the temperature may read a little higher than the actual temperature of the hot tub. I got another one to check the temperature of the first thermometer and that one was still high too, but at least the thermometers are accurate with each other. Now that I know they read high I am used to it. I love how it looks in my hot tub!

My only complaint is the plastic bird housing takes on water like a rubber duck over a week or two. I’ve emptied it twice in a month. I will put a dab of silicone on it (pop it off the top of the thermometer and glue the rubber duck type hole on the bottom) next time I grab the silicone gun.I cal also tell it has faded color a little. Not that important to me though.

This thermometer is so cute and so far it works great! It is only the first season so time will tell.
