Great value—very bright and solid for at an excellent price point.
For value (cost over reliability and brightness), these are a real bargain. (NB: they’re new, so I have as yet no data re battery life and durability.) I have quite a number of small flashlights, running from the really cheap 10-for-$10 ones on a card, to a few allegedly milspec. The cheapos are about 2/3 OK (in time, often with mix-and-match arrangements of the 4 easily removed pieces over time, and often failing suddenly. For some deployments, however, I need reliability, an so buy more upscale. A few I want with a range of functions (UV, laser, etc) but don’t like those requiring a full cycle through every setting to turn off. So far, then, I am very encouraged by these and intend to keep buying them.

Amazing
I really didn't have high expectation for this flashlight but I am really pleased--so much so I ordered a second set. It is bright and the construction is robust. It remains to be seen how it does over time but my initial impression is good. By the way, I'm using this as a bicycle headlight. I've installed two of them on the handlebars. You can adjust the beam and they are sufficiently bright. The sturdy construction seems to hold up well to the bounce & vibration of the bike. Amazon sells various bike mounts that fit these flashlights.

Great value for the money and finally an easy to use modern LED flashlight
I got so tired of the multimode flashlights available that I went looking for a single mode flashlight like this. After all how many times in your life are you going to use strobe or the SOS modes that many competitors offer. These modes are a time waster and I don't want to cycle through 4 modes to get to the mode I want every time the dog stops to possibly do its business. On / Off is what I wanted. There are a ton of single mode lights available but a lot of times in this price range they have a much weaker light and are not focus-able as these are.Why 4 stars instead of 5? The wrist strap is attached to the flashlight by a nylon loop through a drilled hole in the flashlight. That hole does not have smooth edges which means that the strap will eventually break as it rubs against the rough edges. Second, the strap is about long enough for a small woman. Does not fit the average male. This is true of most similar flashlights. I think many of these products must come from the same manufacturer.I fix this by adding a metal ring to the hole in the flashlight and attach a larger wrist strap that I have purchased to the metal ring.I have bought several of these so far, so I do believe them to be an excellent value even after doing the strap modifications as mentioned above.

Compact and Bright
The flashlight is easy to fit in your pocket and is very bright. I wanted a flashlight that only had an on/off button rather than having to cycle through other options. The slide allows for a wide beam to brighten a big spot for seeing close as well as casting a long narrow beam that reaches far out into the distance. Getting two flashlights for a low price makes the purchase a good deal. So far I am very happy with the selection I made!

It has an easily fixed problem
I read the reviews about the switches collapsing into the body for some folks. At the price I thought it would be worth the risk. Came with the sleeves for the rechargeable Li-ion battery but I tested with AAA in the also included 3-AAA holder. One light had the switch boot collapse into the body first try. I pushed in until the switch clicked using my pinky as my sausage thumb wouldn't fit. The light switched off and on and the light spring would eventually push the orange rubber boot out. Probably wouldn't continue to do this once the boot got some age on it. I unscrewed the cap and removed the switch holder (round white piece with a spring loaded brass piece sticking out of the middle). Inside it was the switch itself. The boot stayed in the opening of the aluminum tail piece. It looks like the round white piece is supposed to press into the aluminum body but there is no mechanical means to hold it in place. I dropped a few drops of super glue on the outside surface of the white pieces and slid it back into the tail piece. Let it sit a bit and it seems to be fine. One little extra bit of labor to put a dab of adhesive in place during assembly and 90% of the critical reviews of these lights would be gone. If you have some super glue and don't mind the task (about as hard as loading batteries) you can have some pretty good cheap ON/OFF LED lights. The boot is recessed in the tail so yo can stand this up on the tail to shine the light up without hands. That is if you don't use the included lanyard. There is a hole in the tail for the lanyard but no relief for the cord if you stand it upright. Once again, a little time with a file will add this bit of utility. Or remove the lanyard if you don't us them. Bright, adjustable focus, compact and great price.

They work great, very bright. GREAT PRICE
Great price.I had 2 good battery's from another flashlight that had 5 modes and it drove me crazy every time i used it.Who needs low light, strobe, and the most stupid one is SOS . I didn't think about how irritating it would be to cycle through 4 modes just to turn it off .I would think most people buy a flashlight to have a flashlight [of course i could be wrong]

What I was hoping for.
Happy with these. Love the single mode. Very bright. Seems solid and well built. If I have problems I'll update the review. I do recycle the old 18650 batteries out of laptop, and they work well in this with the included sleeves. I will keep the aaa battery carrier for emergency use, as the 18650 lithium naturally loses a charge over time, and I've found the aaa batteries hold a charge much longer. Good light.

Lot of light in small package
Lot of light for a small flashlight. Zoom is nice, at max it projects a square image of the led array that reaches hundreds of feet, and unzoomed makes a nice circle of light maybe ten feet in diameter for walking at night.I use the 18650 rechargable batteries which are a little uncommon in us, but it comes set to use 3 AAA batteries too. Fits in a pocket
