Topre switches are SOOOOO Good. But did they have to skimp on everything else?
Edit: after using this for a couple of days, I am increasing this to 5 stars. This is really the best keyboard: The Topre switches are really that good. The key caps have a real nice feel. Good quality base. And the old design color scheme is really growing on me.Downside continues to be the flimsy micro usb, and no back lighting or rgb.Old review of 4 stars:I have been thru a ton of mechanical keyboards, and I mean a lot! I have swapped and tried many different types of switches between different brands (Gateron, Cherry, Akko, Kalih), and different types (linear, clicky, tactile). The hype is real, Topre is just the BEST. I mean, as I am typing this, I am just admiring the feel. I really don't feel like I can go back. Also, besides the topre switches, the base is really heavy which is awesome. it gives a nice thock sound and feels really sturdy. The feel is extremely high quality and the keycaps are super nice. It's also very nice that they include the FN and Windows keys compared to other brands like HHKB. Arrow keys are a great plus. However, there a few downsides:1.) It uses Micro USB : Not only is this outdated and they really should be using USB-C, the port on the keyboard is a little flimsy. Kind of scary because if that gets broken, that will render this very expensive keyboard unusable. This is probably the biggest downside.2.) Color options: I dig the old school grey and off-white. However, would it be really that difficult to offer different color options? For the money this keyboard costs, they should really offer more.3.) No back lighting: Again, for the price, they could offer some back lighting. Maybe RGB on the sides of the keyboard.4.) It includes 'Insert' and 'Delete' buttons. Nice to have them, but it would be better if they offered 'Home' and 'End'. Or at least 'Home'-- I don't know about you, but I tend to use that a lot.Now the pros of the topre switches and the sturdy feel of the keyboard far outweighs all the cons. However, for the price, they really should fix the things I have mentioned.Excellent keyboard however they just missed the mark on perfection... oh my God, typing on the topre switches feels soooo good...

Comparison vs. Realforce 87u 55g
Comparing side by side with 87u 55g,- FC660C produces more noticeable "THOCK" than 87u.- 45g switches feel very similar in weight to the 55g - just a hair lighter. They're more similar than I predicted.- FC660C feels snappier than 87u 55g: the keys bounce back faster after bottoming. The 87u key action, although having higher resistance, feels gummier/mushier.-FC660C feels more solid that 87u: it's secured with screws and sturdy clips. There are no seams.-87u is held together by thin, flimsy plastic clips. Also, the feet were wobbly - requiring tape to balance.- FC660C mini USB port is a concern because it already feels loose on day one. I'll epoxy the connector to prevent wear.Overall, this is an amazing keyboard. It has better tactile feedback than MX blue/browns while being significantly quieter. For me, I'll take this over the 87u 55g because it feels snappier and has a more portable form factor.

Overpriced keyboard when there is a cheaper option
This keyboard feels almost exactly the same as another keyboard that you can get on here on Amazon for about $200 cheaper and the other keyboard actually feels BETTER to me then this one, don't waste your money.

Best typing experience ever!
I have lots of mechanical keyboards. And I have tried several different switches (cherry, gaterons and outemus blue and brown). This keyboard is just amazing , once you go topre you never go back. The size Of this keyboard is amazing, everything you need in a compact size, Plus you still get the arrow keys. The keycaps are extremely high quality. Everything about this keyboard feels premium. The switch isn’t loud , but they have amazing tactile response. It has perfect equilibrium

My Favourite Topre Keyboard
This is my second Leopold Keyboard with this layout..Leopold also makes this keyboard with Cherry MX switches but that's a different product ;-)So this is my first Topre Keyboard, i considered this one and the RealForce 78U TKL model. But i settled for this one.Main reason is that it's portable and space saving.. i regularly have several books or computers on my desk so having a big keyboard doesn't really help.Topre switches what can i say about them that hasn't bin said ?? A bit of background on my Cherry preferences.i like the browns because of the switch weight but i prefer the mx-clears because of their tactile nature ..The perfect switch for me would be a mx-clear stem and a brown spring..also known as Ergo-clear..But alas no one makes these..(you can search for the term and read more)..Why did i want to try out such an expensive keyboard ?Like many i read people ranting about these switches. So i decided to bite the bullet and see if i can get one..Oh boy this keyboard is definitely a game changer .I also considered the "happy hacking professional 2 type s" because i like a silenced board..But going without a dedicated arrow section is simple to hard for me..The weight of the keyboard is great so put it in my backpack along with my laptop ;-)In regards to the switch it self i can simply quote Lunatique review of this awesome keyboard..Quote;The 45g weight of the FC660C's Topre keyswitch feels just right--perfect weighting IMO for effortless typing yet enough tactile feedback.i 100% agree with that !Perhaps one day i can tryout a 55g Topre board..If Leopold would make one ..i'm all in ;-)So if i like this keyboard so much why not 5 stars ??Well there is one little drawback to this form factor you should be aware of , or at least informed about. The right shift key and the spacebar are a bit smaller than standard form factor..Looking at it you would be hared pressed to see it..Were talking 2mm or something like that..The problem with this is that you can't find a keycap set to fit..If you would get the Realforce 87U keycap set you would need a second left shift keycap so it would fit on your right..And the Spacebar should fit (i'm not 100% sure on that one).So that's the main reason why i can't give this AWSOME keyboard a 100% ultimate spectacular better than sliced bread rating ahhaha !!Still i really really love it..The way Leopold could make this the best keyboard ever !!! is simple.- add a couple of mm so the right shift key and spacebar can be standard size.- Bring out a Type-s model (oh man that would be so cool)- make the stems Cherry mx compatible (just a dream there are other considerations with this one..like the sculpture nature and so on)- make the space bar PBT like the other key caps on this keyboard..Having said that you really don't need to go out and get a new keycap set anytime soon these keycaps are PBT and printed using Dye sublimation.Although the PBT caps are thin (and i'm told not as thick as the Realforce caps) they are ok ...and wil last..I just which the keycaps were a bit thicker..more premium i mean we are paying a premium price for this awesome peace of art..I really believe everyone should tryout electrostatic capacitive switches once in their live if you can afford it..treat yourself life is short..
