Ive used this 6+ times to separate fat from other liquids (drippings or boil water) when cooking chicken, for gravy and soup stocks. Does a very good job. I just throw it into the dishwasher and it comes out clean every time with no special cleaning procedures. There is a sweet spot for how much liquid to put into it each time to avoid getting very much into the spout, but that comes with trial and error. Overall, I am very pleased with this. It's a time saver and makes for healthier meals. If I had to critique, I would say the glass is not very thick. But its held up so far.

I wanted a glass separator my other plastic separators cracked when the liquid was too hot. When taking a roast from the oven I didn’t want to wait for liquid to cool to make gravy. This worked great. By tilting the glass you can get down to the very last liquid without any fat Escaping. Nice size also.

Wanted to know if the simax borosilicate glass is safe. Went to google, see below. Very safe and I'm thrilled that I bought it. Works great!! The borosilicate glass is harder than regular glass.

Had a supposed "High Temperatured" separator I replaced with this. Have not used it yet but have inspected it, it's a fat separator, the design is good. Easy to clean? Nothing is easy to clean but glass is easier than plastic. It does feel like the glass is thing and could be broken easily, this is a feature I will have to take care for. I would have preferred a thicker glass as the feel to it is that it is fragile and a bump could possibly break it.

Love the large capacity and that it is glass. Works well. I store it in the box so I don't break it. I use my own brush that came with a glass straw to clean it. I wish it came with it's own brush. I am pleased with it.

It's a decent separator and works as it should, but the glass is very thin and fragile. We've made a spot for storing it way up high in the cabinet so no one accidently bumps it.For the price, I would like the glass to be thicker. I'm not expecting laboratory glass, but just a bit sturdier.

I absolutely loved how it was packaged. It arrived in a big bubble. I use it as a cream separator. I buy milk from a farmer and let it sit in my fridge overnight then laddle it out and return in the fridge then pour all milk out and make butter. Money well spent! Easy to clean too. Quality product
