Great Motorbike DVR and camera system, at a great price point.
I bought this in order to better protect myself in the event of a road collision, and to allow me to record my future touring rides. I had looked at the Innovv K2 initially but couldn't justify the £400 price tag. I researched this and it came out as the next best option at a better price point. It has really good reviews on Youtube too.The DVR unit is smaller than expected but this is a good thing as I decided to put it under the seat on my bike. This includes putting it in the waterproof enclosure for more protection. I decided against mounting it on my handle bars as I have a touring bike and the handlebars and controls are cluttered enough without having another thing to distract me. This is not a problem as you can use the wifi connection to see what is recording, without the need to access the DVR itself. That said the bracket and mount look to be heavyweight and sturdy enough to support the dvr. I will just say that cable management around this area would be cluttered though, due to mass of cables converging into the side of the DVR enclosure.Installing the power cabling and routing the camera was a pain, however this was mainly due to paneling on my bike as opposed to anything being wrong with the cables. On a side note the cables were more than long enough and they seem robust enough. I decided to use my own zip ties to secure the cable as the ones in the box seemed a little weak.Once hooked up and powered on the picture, both front and rear were fantastic and really clear. Setting up was easy and the three buttons on the side were intuitive to use. The menus were nice and easy to usePlayback is good, both on the device and via a wifi connection, although it doesn't seem like you can stream Picture in Picture to your phone, you can only see one view at a time. I have yet to try dowloading from the dvr to my mobile device.Pros.1. The device works well straight out of the box and it is good that it tells you to test everything using a USB power source before trying to install it on the bike.2. The Setup is easy and makes sense except the protection levels ( see cons).3. Good clear pictures both in daylight and lowlight conditions.4. Compact device but metal construction on both dvr and the cameras gives a quality feel.5. The wide angle on the lenses provides a good perspective of the road ahead and behind.6. The power control module works well and automatically turns the device on and off as the bike's ignition is turned on and off ensuring it does not run the bike battery down.Cons.1. The kit comes with a remote control however I did not install this I cannot see the use of this, other than to take static photos. The kit can be fitted with an optional GPS module to provide location information. This would be a better addition to this kit if you are looking to use it as dashcam type device. This brings me to the one issue with this, you can either have the gps module or the remote control connected, not both at the same time.2. If you want the GPS module you will have to go hunting for it as it is not sold on Amazon.co.uk. I found one on teknistore.com.3. The device will not record without an sd card inserted in it and one is not included in the kit. You will have to buy this separately. I bought a 128gb Class 10 U3 card and it works okay. I don't know how long it will record for, but should last a while before overwriting.4. The device is fitted with a g sensor to provide protection of the recorded video in the event of a crash, however the protections level, from 1 to 9 or Off, there is no indication in the user manual which is the more sensitive. Until this can be comfirmed, I have set this to off, so that my card doesn't get filled up and can't be overwritten. The user manual could be more explicit in this matter.I have not yet been out on a ride yet to see how it operates when the bike is mobile but will update once I have been out.Overall a good camera system, and worth price.UPDATE 13 JAN 20: I went on a ride today to keep the bike turning over during the winter season lull. The weather was cold and wet as to be expected. The camera system worked brilliantly. The pictures were clear and steady. Thankfully where I have mounted the cameras there is very little vibration so the videos are very clear. Just a couple of points post ride. My rear camera is located very close to the exhaust on the bike so if you are recording sound as well, all you will pick up is the exhaust note and little else. Secondly, the front camera does have to deal with road spray and some of the video was obscured by water droplets on the camera lens at slow speeds. I may contact the manufacturers to see if using some kind of water dispersant on the lens might help solve this minor issue, either that or just ride fast everywhere :-)Update 18 Sep 21: Got rear ended on my bike by a driver not paying attention. Thankfully the cameras were not damaged and I got good footage of the crash to show the police and the insurance company. The bike was written off but I have been able to transfer the cameras and DVR to my new bike and they relocated very easily, ready for the next cage driver who decides to run into me.

The quality is BRILLIANT for The PRICE! Please read full review
So this review is based on the few days I have had the camera set up and the headline says it all.For a balanced review I shall give you the good and the not so good as to be fair there is not much bad as yet.I think you have to look at this in two ways. Is it the best.. well no but is it better than the price for it.. Well definitely yes so far.So the kit comes with pretty much everything and the first great thing is that you can attach every thing together and power up with a simple usd (i used a power bank) and ensure all is working. Simply genius..My bike (A BMW GTL K1600) is frankly full of wiring and fairings so once i decided on where thye cameras were going it was time to hide it all and fix. The stickys supplied are pants so i would bin them and either use screws or your own 3M pads. I decided to place my unit (DVR) in the small side fairing pocket but also kept it in the very useful waterproof case. All the cables are in there so out of the way. I used a 128gb card with no issues. Instructions are decent but frankly its easy. I used the black and red cables for power and the yellow wire to an ignition switched wire (under the seat) all easy. It powers on and starts recording straight away.I have tried it on several settings but the mic on max is hideous (As in picks up everything) I have reduced this now but cannot yet report. For me its all on the bike for insurance purposes anyway so no worries. I have used the 1080 at 30fps and this is good quality but I find a bit jumpy. Better at 720 at 60fps.. I have since seen there is a setting to assist with stabilisation but not yet tried. Both cameras are absolutely tiny and do a good wide angle job.I thnk for the money this is just exceptional and I hope will get even better as I change the setting to suit me. I also decided to fit the remote as it takes a picture and locks the file. Otherwise its on continuous loop...To sum up..... The quality is not as good as my helmet cam (Sony FDR-x3000R) But this was 4 x the cost for one.I would recommend in a heartbeat when considering cost / quality / priceUPDATEWanted to add a further add on now I have used for a little while.I really recommend this set up. I have had faultless footage every time in several thousand miles. All works well. I personally moved my rear camera as i was getting some vibration on the footage so moved more onto the frame. The quality for the money is exceptional and i would buy again for sure. I use a continuous loop for coverage of any incident. I can make out registration numbers easily if close so ideal.
