I’ve bought many, many items from Amazon since 2007 and this is the first time I’ve ever had to post a negative review. These lights functioned correctly for about 8 weeks then only half illuminated. I tried everything to rectify this but then a week or two later they wouldn’t light up at all. As the weather is good at the moment it can’t be lack of light to charge and I’ve checked the battery etc with a multi-meter. They do look really nice when working but only buy if you are needing for one-off event or short term requirement.I looked to contact the seller for a replacement in case it was a one-off fault but there doesn’t appear to be the option. Had lots of these type of lights in the past. They usually eventually fail when the solar panel goes opaque, but that's another story. I particularly liked the way the LED lit up the bottom of the teardrop but, there seems to be two fundamental flaws with the set I've had delivered, which is a shame, but this might just be my problem. There are two buttons on the back of the solar panel thingie. One for 'mode' and the other for on/off.1. First, the mode button. If you just want them to be 'on', then you're out of luck. Four or more flashing patterns, which is fine if that;s what you're after but no simple on.2. Now the On/Off button. The switch on the circuit board is set so low that pressing the outer, waterproof cover has no effect.. I made it work by dismantling it and adding padding under the waterproof cover. Not really on is it?A shame or a shambles? You decide

Worked well the first day, stayed on for full 6 hours. After that not on at all or only for couple of hours. Not on at all last night, then flashing intermittently at 7am. Wish I could find a mains powered version.

These multi-coloured solar powered lights look really nice lit up in the evening and at night. They are on a strong 24 ft long string which would look great hung up around your fence or even around the roof of your garden shed or summerhouse. They look pretty even in the daytime when they arent lit up with their 40 bulbs of crystal effect droplet shapes but they look even more fantastic lit up giving the garden a magical look fit for any dancing fairies u may get. U get a spike that u can put the solar panel on to stake into the ground so u just have to figure out what angle to put it so it gets the most sun to charge up and then it will work during the evening and night. They will automatically turn on when it starts to get dark and off again in the morning due to the light sensor. I like that u dont have to use batteries or electricity they work on the natural solar energy so are kind to the planet.

These lights worked for one day sending them back really disappointed

Well I brought with a concerned niggle and question as we're my second set. Reviews were good so I chanced it. Brough them pre warm weather but put them up on the gutter. A few weeks later with warning weather turned them on and didn't work at all. Not happy.

Lovely lights and warm glow. However, brought in for winter, and now not working, Cleaned panel, changed solar battery( tried with normal battery to check if working-nada), checked lights and cables through. Checked wires attached correctly still in solar box. Did everything, but DEAD! A shame ,as very nice through summer and autumn evenings outdoors.

I used these lights to string along the back fence of my garden next to my patio. They light up beautifully as soon as it gets dark and they seem to last almost all night. I have had solar lights before but I think that these ones are the brightest ones i have had and they are a lovely warm white rather than the cold harsh white that some lights give. Very pretty.
