This Dixon B17 series brass industrial interchange hydraulic quick connect plug has a female NPTF threaded end, poppet-style shut-off valve, NBR gasket, and connects to an industrial interchange hydraulic quick connect coupler. The female Dryseal National Pipe Thread Taper Fine (NPTF) threads connect with male NPTF threads for a leak-tight connection or with male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for a leak-resistant connection. The poppet valve helps prevent fluid loss when the fitting is disconnected. Brass provides corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability, and the nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) seal provides high tensile strength and resistance to abrasion, tear, and compression set. This plug's maximum working pressure (MWP) is 1,000 pounds per square inch (psi) (68.03 bar) at 70 degrees F. This plug meets the dimensional requirements of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 7241-1 Series B for general purpose quick-action couplings. It is used for hydraulic applications in industrial operations.SpecificationsFitting-end connectionPlugHose-end connectionFemale NPTF threadValvePoppet styleMaterialBrassSealNBRMaximum working pressure1,000 psi (68.03 bar)SpecificationsISO 7241 -1 Series BHose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear. Hose fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, barbed, push-to-connect, dry disconnect, and others including those based on internationally-accepted specifications. Hose fittings are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.Dixon Valve & Coupling Company manufactures pipe and hose fittings and accessories. The company, founded in 1916, is based in Chestertown, Maryland.
