Q: Are the specs on these inuke nu3000 accurate? i'm a bit skeptical that an amp weighing less than 7 lbs can really produce 900 watts@4-ohms/ch.

For your (and other people out there)'s reference, Check out BigDWiz's Youtube channel. The NU1000 specs are: - 120W @ 8 Ohms (not rated, but would have been at 200W) - 210W @ 4 Ohms (rated at 300W) - 300W @ 2 Ohms (rated at 500W) As you can see, all their ratings are blown out of proportion. The NU6000 also was tested and found lacking, by about 33% Though the NU3000 wasn't tested, here's what you probably will find: 8 Ohms unrated ; measured ~ 450W 4 Ohms rated: 900W/CH ; measured ~ 600W 2 Ohms rated: 1500W/CH; measured ~ 1100W

Q: What cables do i need to connect this to a mackie pro12v2 mixer? i don't want to use xlr.

This power amp has both xlr and 1/4" TRS balanced inputs so a stereo TRS 1/4" to TRS 1/4" cable will allow you to connect from the mixer as long as it has a 1/4" balanced output. If the mixer only has xlr outputs then you would need a balanced XLR to 1/4" TRS balanced cables.Hope that helps.

Q: What gauge speaker cables are recommended for the inuke 3000?

It really depends on the length of the cable run, but 16 gauge is the minimum I'd run for even the shortest distances. Keep in mind that outputs on the iNUKE are Speakon.
