Subtle sophistication
Make sure to measure your tie before you buy. I'm new to buying tie clips so didn't expect the length to be what it was. Rule of thumb from all the men's wear magazines and fashion websites that I've studied, the tie clip is only supposed to extend 3/4 of the way across the tie, between the 3rd and 4th button on the shirt. So, I should've put on my tie the way I expected to wear it and then measured at that spot to pick the right length tie clip. I was in a hurry, so I messed up. It was too long, but because it's my fault, I have to say it "Fit as expected". The clip itself is nice and sleek. It held the tie in place and didn't shift as I've heard other clips tend to do. It didn't ruin the fabric of my tie, which is important when I'm spending a lot (a lot to me at least) on my ties. It also added a nice and subtle sophistication to my look. It wasn't overly bright or shiny, which is what I wanted. Good product.TL:DR - Looked great, just be sure to measure your tie before you buy

no other colors or patterns ruin its front surface like on 90% of the other tie clips you see
Let me save you a whole lot of time and trouble: This is the tie clip you want if you have any sense about this sort of thing. Firstly, it is a plain silver design; no other colors or patterns ruin its front surface like on 90% of the other tie clips you see. Secondly, it has a spring clasp, as opposed to no clasp, resulting in the need to shimmy one's tie in between the front and back of the clip. Thirdly, it is of sufficient width (2.25 inches) to go more than halfway across a tie of normal width. Most tie clips are considerably narrower, and if you go with one of those, it will look ridiculous, unless you are wearing a skinny tie, but why would you do that? Finally, the price is excellent. A tie clip just isn't the sort of thing that I want to 'invest in'. You could spend $50 or more on a tie clip and still fail to get the 'three horsemen' (plain design, spring clasp, sufficient width). Sure, it might be sterling silver, but what good will that do you if one of the critical features is missing? Save your money and the research time that I have already expended on your behalf. You're very welcome.

This is the tie bar you want
I wear a suit and tie every day to work and have wanted to get a tie bar for a while. I first tried one from banana republic which was just too loose and I actually lost it. I then ordered an extremely expensive one from Paul Smith and it just was way too tight with no spring latch, especially with me wearing ties that are of a thicker material. This Mark Ross tie clip has been right in that goldilocks zone, able to accommodate all of my ties comfortably and effectively. And it's at a fantastic price in case it gets lost.

Great but on the bigger side
I liked it a lot it’s just a little bigger than expected. Although I can’t complain because I didn’t measure anything.

Not perfect- bump and scratches on the edges of clip
I seriously thought it will be perfect. Everything looked great until I looked up very closely. How do guys do your QC? You guys let go of bumps and scratches and ship them out?Is this some kind of a outlet store?I'm sure no one will notice it when I wear it but...I wanted it perfect!! Do you know how this feels?- disappointing. It was NOT perfect and had one little bump- kinda cut like bump on of the edges . The finish looks great but I am yet actually use it, but the clamp looks like it will hold- I keep you posted.

this one does not have those easily avoidable, yet common
It's a bit large of a clip, but I was looking for a larger one to complement the shorter one I already had. Many tie bars are designed really poorly such that the clip mechanism doesn't go very far in (so it doesn't actually clip to your shirt) or open very wide (so it doesn't actually clip to your shirt); this one does not have those easily avoidable, yet common, problems.

Decent clip, but box was wet and falling apart.
The clip is fine, but the box it came in was wrapped in some weird, soggy clay paper. The little box that looks like preium packaging on the product photos is just made of cheap cardboard, which in my case was also soaked and falling apart. It also smelled really bad...like it was moldy or something. And, to be sure, it's not because the Amazon package got wet or anything. This was part of a larger order, so Amazon had included it in a big box with other stuff - everything else arrived in fine shape.his was supposed to be a present, so it was a real shame. The tie clip is fine and pretty much as advertised, but you might as well just buy one of the ones thats $5 bucks less on here. What made this product stand out were the high quality product photos, the 'name brand' and the nice looking box. In my case at least, all that was a wash.
