Solid product
Added this as a second backup drive in my desktop. There are a couple of steps you have to go through in Windows 7 to initialize a brand new, second drive (just Google Windows 7 add second hard drive) and then you'll see it in My Computer. I'm no expert, but having this made it VERY easy to backup documents, videos, and music, format my main drive, reinstall my OS, and then copy back over what I needed from this backup drive. The process was much faster than backing up to my external USB 2 drive, which always took a while.Every PC gets cluttered and starts to slow down after a while. Nothing like the feeling of a formatted drive and clean install of your OS and programs. Using this as a second backup drive greatly facilitated that process. Just be advised that the drive does NOT come with a SATA cable. You need to buy that separately if you are installing this as a second drive and don't have a SATA cable lying around, but they're very cheap. Just make sure you take a look "under the hood" so you know how far the cable will need to reach and if you need any extra mounting screws or hardware. I did not. You also need to make sure you've got a free power cable in there to power the drive.

Its USED harddrive not OEM.
The two hard drives I got are not "OEM" in fact, one harddrive had "BAD" written on it with a marker, it appears someone tried to erase it but still left it very visible. Both harddrive I got did boot up and where able to be formatted, but this is just false advertising, it should say USED harddrive and not OEM harddrives.
