Thomas the Train: Preschool Thomas and Bulstrode Bath Buddies

I first got this item as a gift for my 2 year old. The box at the top of the boat comes off and when tipped upside down with water in it it is like a shower. Thomas is a squirty toy, but durable and not flimsy. It's difficult to get all of the water out of it due to the awkward shape, but so far we have been careful to get it empty and there doesn't appear to be any mold yet. The bottom of the boat moves when the string is pulled at the back, but it does keep water in it so needs to be shaken out after the bath. The shower toy and the bath squirted slot easily in. It is slightly awkward to clean due to the little slots, but my son absolutely loves it. He is a notorious chewer and thus far there is only minor nicks to the paint and it has held up very well. It does look hardly used and we have had it for about 6 months and he plays with it in and out of the bath. My friend has a son who is Thomas mad so I got him this for Christmas. Wonderful toy and considering it is Thomas it is very reasonably priced!

While not the most exciting bath toy, this set has provided my son with plenty of fun in the bathtub. The propeller is not very strong at all so the boat barely moves, it just floats. My son doesn't mind so much; he just uses his imagination and enjoys the toy.

My grandson is still in the "Thomas" stage. I was advised that he had his heart set on "diesel" for his birthday present. So we ordered one from Amazon and noticed Thomas and Bulstrade. It was so inexpensive, we ordered one. It turned out to be the big hit at his party. He pushed it around the floor, ignoring more expensive toys.. I am sure he will like it even more when he gets to use it in his bath.

I purchased this for my 3 year old and he loves it. The quality is pretty good, and it seems like it will hold up well. Be aware that the ties holding the toy in the box look similar to the pull string that makes it move through the water, so be careful not to cut it.

Total trash. The boat does not float. It just takes on water and sinks. Pulling the string does nothing but spin a propeller that does not have enough force to move the boat.

I was searching for a boat for a bath time toy and when I found a Thomas the Train boat I thought I'd hit the jackpot. Unfortunately, after only three baths, the boat no longer floats. The propulsion system is kinda cool because it makes fun noises and will scoot the boat along for a bit. As other reviewers have mentioned, it doesn't have much propulsion. So, if you don't have the boat in the water and let it go at the right time it's not going to go anywhere. I have a 4 year old and 2.5 year old and neither of them can get it to work for them. I can only get it right about half the time! It would be much better if it would actually stay afloat for more than a few minutes. If you pick the boat up out of the water and let all the water drain out of it, it will float for a few more minutes, but the boys haven't figured that out yet.The kids still think it's an amusing toy, but I'm disappointed. I wanted a floating bath toy! If that's what you're looking for as well, try something else.

My 4 year old LOVES Thomas and always wants to take them in the bath or the pool (which we don't allow). He was so excited to finally get one of Thomas' friends that could go in the water! Very cute toy.

I bought it as a gift for my nephew and he is delighted so am I. There are so many copies of this type of toys, but this is the original good quality one, check well, the cheap ones often are workless they have defective and even dangerous little pieces, not this one. This is excellent. Thank you, do not hesitate buy it.
