Ab Trainer Pro

I was a pro bodybuilder for years,and have continued to train all of my life.I have worked my mid section every day and every way.This ab trainer is the strongest,well made piece that i have ever seen,But,more attention should have been put into the conformation,or the bend of the trainer.I bought this for myself around xmas time,and my wife bought another make of ab trainer for me at the same time.I now had 3,as i was replacing the old one that i had.My first idea was to send back the $35.00 one that my wife bought,keeping this heavily constructed oneNot to hurt her feelings.i assembled and kept them both.I used one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.The next day i would reverse the process.After a month,i could clearly see that the cheaper one was the better one.The conformation or the shape of it made it a better piece,putting the concentration where it should be.I do about 200 reps or closer to 150 on the $35.00 machine,and can do over 500 reps on the $100.00 one,all the while sliding all over the floor,trying to keep in the correct training position.Adding weight to a piece like this is not needed if the bend of the machine is correct.

I had an ab roller years ago and when I used it faithfully, I got the results I wanted. I made a decision about a month ago to purchase another ab roller since the whole family would benefit. The item arrived as promised and was neatly packed. I found the instructions confusing at first because at one time, you apparently had more to assemble. The ab roller was extremely easy to assemble and I found it to be very sturdy and well made. I was able to start using it that day. I'll have to post results later. I started at 25 reps a day on day 1 and I'm completed day 5 with 8 sets of 25. I have always found this simple machine a great way to tone my abs and wiggle down my waistline. I'm 45 now, we'll see if it still works the same magic it did in my late 20's!

I bought this ab trainer to offer some relief for my neck while doing ab workouts. What a waste of money! First of all, the cushion for your head is not thick enough to keep a giant metal piece from digging into your spine as you pull up. I had to put a folded blanket on it. Second, the range of motion is terrible. With the headrest piece being moveable, there is no stability. I tried to use it to do some oblique crunches (on my side), and I had to hold the head cushion in place while attempting to crunch. This thing does not adjust for arm length at all. In the pictures where the male is using it, it shows that he is resting his elbows on the elbow pads while gripping the top bar. However, female arms are generally not long enough to do this, so I can only use the top bar without any arm support. Very uncomfortable. I can do better, more effective crunches, with less neck pain on my own. Don't waste your money folks.

If the arm rests were adjustable, it would be more comfortable. That reduced my review to 4 stars. Otherwise this is a very strong and durable unit that provides a good and supported abdominal workout and will likely last for many years. Pricing, packaging and delivery were great.

It is built for very large people, I guess. I am female and 5'8" tall and it really is a bad fit.The head rest is totally uncomfortable, as well.Not recommended at all.

Don't like the fact that it is not adjustable. Wife cannot use it because it is seems designed for larger persons.I feel awkard when using it also, especially on the neck. I would rather use a pull up bar with arm straps and lift my legs up repetitively.I had a similar ab crunch a few years ago wish I hadn't got rid of it.

I have been searching for an abdominal product to add to my workouts and after reading so many negative reviews about the latest and greatest gadgets, I decided to buy this since I had used one previously at the gym and liked the results. I am very happy with this purchase. The item was easy to assemble and it fits perfectly around my excercise mat, which is 2 feet wide. It also appears to be very sturdy and well made.

had to use a hammer to put it together, parts did not fit, parts labeled great but did not fit.
