Bought the Oukitel Y4800 as a replacement handset as my current contract Samsung S9+ went off for repair with a broken screen.First impressions? Well, what can i say?On opening the plastic shipping wrapper from Amazon I was impressed by the presentation. The handset comes packed in a nice presentation box, complete with charger and USB cable. Also as a bonus a decent TPU rear cover as well. I was a bit dubious about what to expect so:Good points:4000mA battery - enough for 3 days with use for calls and social media and messaging.Dual sim so can use two numbers on one handset.48 megapixel camera (sold as a Samsung in reviews elsewhere) has to be the best i've seen. Clear pictures even in low light. Usual functionality as seen in higher priced flagship handsets.Screen is clear, audio is good in calls, the processor is quick enough to keep up with whatever you are using the handset for.Connected to a cxar with android play you can also use the handset as a sat nav.Runs Android 9.1 Pie straight out of the box.Not so good:The Y4800 doesnt have a graphic equaliser or the sound refinements as found on higher end handsets. Not a problem as you can download a media player from android store which does the job.I had to set up the MMS/data settings manually on mine as the network (EE) doesnt regognise the handset so unable to send settings automatically, however only took 2 minutes.The phone lacks wireless charging and NFC which is expected within this price range.Definitely recommend the Y4800. For £219 there isn't a lot out there that can match the battery life and camera quality of this handset. My Samsung has been returned repaired now but am still using the Oukitel due to the better battery life.

Oh boy has this been a hard one, battery life is amazing (to me at least), normally 2 days is around the best average for any phone I have had, but this gives a good 3 days between charges, I also love the face recognition software and finger print options to unlock the phone, and the best part of the face unlocking option is it has a feature, which it asks you if you want to enable it during setting it up, say Yes, and it increases the backlight brightness to allow using your face in low light situations, very well thought out, the rest of the phone is as you would expect, there may be other features I have not come across, as I have been struggling to set it up.Both of those are what I would say is the best bits of this phone, but then comes the downside for me, I have had some issues in using some of the settings, like putting my phone number in the settings, and many varied petty things like this, which have become a bigger pain after a short time, the phonebook is not loaded, most of it is most likely my not knowing how too, but as there is no manual for this (the biggest letdown for me), it has made it very hard to figure some parts out, I'm used to having the callers name come up when they ring, but I only get the number showing, and my wife's number has been removed from the rest of the phone, I can only see it by using the speed dial, but not in the phonebook.The seller has been a great help trying to figure out what is going on, but they think there is a problem with the sim card not integrating itself fully with the phone, most likely in the minority of of users who have come across this sort of thing, so the phone is a no go for me, but I imagine the vast majority would be very happy with it.

Absolutely amazing phone, especially for the cost. Forget about all your expensive phones, this one is as good, if not better than your Samsung etc

Very good phone, loads of features. Unfoftunately it went wrong after a few weeks and so I returned it.

Had this 17mths and today it packed up, battery drained fast, now wont charge or power upGood enough phone if you don't want it to last too long
