This is a must have for your LS swap
We are using this on a 2004 5.3 motor that we installed in a 1963 impala. Order it, you will need it. The fit is great, and it is nice and strong.

I bought this soley to replace the factory linkage in a 1972 Chevrolet Nova. This car has an LS based 5.3L engine with 4L60e overdrive automatic transmission but this was designed to work with all of the classic 3 speed automatic transmissions from GM as well. This worked PERFECTLY with my factory GM column shifter. The only modification necessary is to cut and grind the length of rod to fit your vehicle. The early Novas were rear-steer so this is the best product for this particular use as there is not enough room for the cable-driven versions to clear the firewall. There is a lot of possible adjustment and I found the sweet spot for my configuration was right in the middle of the shift rod as the product photo demonstrates. I found if I wanted quicker and firmer shifts, at the very bottom of the shift lever was best. If you wanted slow, factory style shifting, at the very top of the shifting lever was perfect, but it would limit your travel and prevent you from grabbing 1st gear if you wanted to manually select and run through all gears.I recommend an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and a grinding wheel for installation, but the rest is done with simple hand tools and allen keys. Does not come with blue thread locker, but I would also recommend it. Place focus on being able to reliably shift in and out of park to save wear on your key tumbler. The provided instructions gave very good tips. Excellent product from Lokar.

Nice
Nice but lacking in instruction, needs to be bent to fit application and your on your own for that, positive is that it is sturdier than other brands.

perfect product for the job!
ordered for an LS swap into my 86 Chevy c10 due to the factory shifter linkage hitting my schoenfeld headers not allowing to shift into first gear also the O2 sensor bung was in the way of the factory shifter. this new lokar shifter linkage fixed both of my issues in no time. was very easy to install. contrary to the other review i read the final adjustment wasn't difficult or time consuming at all. as soon as my buddies saw this thing installed they both ordered them for the same application

Great quality
I installed this in my 49 Chevy truck. It is great quality and has a lot of flexibility to make installation easy. I would buy it again

Not one size fits all
You must heat up bar and bend for your application, also had to be cut shorter in my case. Works pretty well. Stay factory on linkage if you can.

Very Shifty
Bolted right up to the 1984(?) 700r4 in my ‘69 C-10.I now have access to all 4 fwd. gears, too!It does move the shift lever a bit while motoring, which moves the pivot pin up a bit, but it’s a minor annoyance at best.High component quality, clear instructions.

Great linkage
Not sure about the bad reviews I read but I received the package in a box from Amazon, took it home. I have a 68 C10 Chevy. I measured center to center of my linkage on the column and the transmission then I removed my old linkage and installed it, only took about 45 minutes and 10 minutes of that was from me dropping the bolt and losing but later discovering wedged in the header tubes. Only me could this happen to, it couldn't have fell on the ground, no it decided to play hide in seek with me, but once I found it it went right on. I did have to put a 4'' bend in it. Works great and really smooth, much better than the stock linkage.
