After spending hundreds of dollars on fancy toys - this basic shaver turns out to be the one for me
I have had many models ranging from $5 disposables to $140 Panasonic four stage water proof. this is by far the best shaver FOR ME. I do not shave wet, and shave often - which is the best fit for this device.when my beard gets long I use the Panasonic as this one will pull the hair, however when I only have a one or two day stuble this gives me a far closer shave. The battery life is Okay (not lithium) so it lasts about one or two weeks, and there is no trimming tool which is fine with me (I have many). The cable is a little annoying but other than that its the perfect shaver.Another pro is the replacement head price - other devices heads alone cost almost double the price of this shaver.BTW I have extremely dense and rough Stubble, my face is like sand paper after one day - I have been using this for six months now and it still gives me a close shave - hence even if I have to pay $15 for new heads the old heads already paid for themselves. The heads are one circle. I have had a higher end Philips Norelco with triple lines in each circle, and this one is somehow better (the fancy model had holes instead of lines in the inner circles and it pulled my stubbles ).Conclusion - this is one of those rare occasions where cheaper is better. but if you are on the go all the time I suggest you look for a similar model (the close shave heads like here) with a Lithium battery (and as I mentioned if you like to use the shaver in the shower... look elsewhere); but if you just look for a shaver that will give you a perfect close shave before a meeting look no further.

Entry Level Razor
It is a bit more basic/weak than I fought but does the job. It is very light and feels as if it was hollow. I don't like that the batteries takes 8 hours to recharge and there is no indication of charging completion. There is a little blue light saying charging. But it will not go off after the charging is complete. The batteries are NiCads so have all the memory effects associated with NiCads. Eight hours of charging for 30 minutes of use. Better off charging when the batteries are almost empty (to avoid memory effects where the batteries will not hold a full charge, so less than 30 minutes of use if you charge often before battery depletion is near). Overall the power of the razor when operated in battery mode leaves something to be desired. Gives the sensation of being underpowered when spinning the blades. But does the job with a little insistence around the beard/mustache surfaces. Operating with the cord plugged has significantly more power, but with the side effect that battery is charged often before depletion so it will show memory effects and not last long. Overall works reasonably well for the price. But I was disappointed to see about same/lower price at local stores and the fact that it does not have a sideburn trimmer (which was not advertised but still). Also the local sot ores have a similar model which last for 35 minutes instead of 30 minutes on battery.

Great electric razon.
This is my first electric razor, before of this I shave with a razor and it takes me so much time for me so I decided to switch to an electric razor. The first shave irritated my neck and I noticed that the end result was close to the shave with a razor, but it took me less than the half of the time, the new thing with an electric razor is that you need to do proper maintenance by taking away all the cutting heads and clean them using the brush provided to take all the hair inside the top or the razor, is not a big deal, now that I have confidence with the parts, i'm able to get all parts clean in less than 5 minutes, .For now and as I precaution to have this machine working properly for all the time possible, so I clean it up every second use, my shave is not as good as it was with the razor blade, but I can shave myself often due to the quickness with an electric razor.I was afraid that by choosen the cheapest one of the phillips electric razor I will get a bad product, but I was wrong this machine works great holds the charge very well I use it about 3 times a week and it have a month with me now and the initial charge still holds so this was an unexpected surprise. This razor was USD$27.97 by the time I made the purchase and can use a $10.00 cupon so I get this for USD$17.97 that was an steal and this is a really good machine, I don't have tons of facial hair, but every two days I look like a drunken man if I don't shaved myself, so now I'm able to shave often and look ok for my daily routine without the waste of water while using the traditional razor blade.

No Close Shave but okay
If you are not picky and have a beard that isn't too tough, this will probably do for you but you might have to shave again at noon. Takes a bit to find a method to remove the beard more like scrubbing across your face so if your skin is sensitive you may end up with an itchy area. However, the cost is very low and it is easy to clean out. Plus either a battery or A/C use is good. Bottom line it equals the price you pay to buy one. It's "okay".
