Have two ponds, 2200 gal. total volume. String algae a problem.Last year tried CrystalClear PondTint Pond Dye - Blue 16 Ounce Bottle Treats Up to 16,000 Gallons for $12.99. Used whole bottle which reduced the algae.This year gambled on believing the advertising for this pond dye. Less than an ounce turned both ponds deep blue. Enough for years of treatment.Handle with caution. Wear plastic gloves, don't spill. Even a drop will get everywhere.

If you are getting this for a small pond you'll have a lifetime supply of dye. It only takes like 2 drops per 500 gallons and the most amazing deep blue will engulf your pond. The fishes love having cooling water temps and hiding cover. Takes a little longer for them to surface during feeding time. If you add too much, rain or adding water over time dilutes the tint.

My pond is one acre by 3/4 of an acre and 21 feet deep. I purchased 2 bottles. I poured one bottle in to slow the algae growth and just one bottle did the trick. Within 24 hours the dye had dispersed throughout my entire pond without any assistance. The algae growth has slowed but is still there. My fish (bass and perch) are seen swimming daily. I've seen babies too. My son's and I swim in the pond without any problems. Great product

It's amazing how much color can come out of a quart bottle. I have an acre pond, and this dye will nicely color it. I usually have to add more later on due to rainfall dilution, but this costs half as much as the "name brands".

So far so good..very dark blue so if the glare from the sun is hitting it you can see the color but if you walk to the other sideas of my pond it's gorgeous.. recommend this product.

Have a large pond in my back yard and have trouble with moss growing under water. So far the pond is clear.
