Industrial-strength dehumidification.
I live in coastal North Carolina where high heat and humidity levels make mold a constant threat. After going through a few consumer-grade dehumidifiers in my garage, I decided to spend a little more and go with a more rugged unit, and so far, the Dri-Eaz hasn't disappointed me.First, understand that this is a BIG unit - it weighs over 90 pounds, and while it's easy to roll around, it's not so easy to lift single-handedly. I only have it a short time, but it's built like a tank and I suspect it will last a very long time.Out of the box, it's really drop-dead simple to setup...pretty much just remove some packaging, attach and route the drain hose, and then just turn it on. It comes fully assembled and ready to go otherwise. The drain hose is long enough for most uses, and I like that it comes with a built-in condensation pump built in. My last dehumidifier required an outboard pump, and having it built in to the Dri-Eaz makes for a neater overall setup. The large size of the unit helps keep it much quieter than other dehumidifiers I've used, and the electrical draw seems also to be low for the capacity of this unit. At roughly 600 watts, we are expecting it to cost roughly $1.70 per day for electricity when it needs to run continuously - this is about a third less than the consumer-grade unit we replaced. As for performance, my four-car garage runs about 1300 SF, and it's not very air tight. The day we received our Dri-Eaz, we measured the humidity in the garage as 84% at a temperature of 80 degrees. After running for a few days, the Dri-Eaz seems to be keeping the humidity levels in the mid-50's to low 60's, and that's made a notable difference all the way around. Moldy areas we were seeing are gone, and the space feels definitely less humid all the way around.Definitely happy with this purchase, and I'd recommend the Dri-Eaz to anyone looking for an industrial quality dehumidifier.

Industrial strength deumidifier
Very easy to set up with outside drain system. Works excellent to dehumidify a 73' X 40 building and keep humidity below 45%. We use a humidistat switch so unit only runs when needed

We had the basement professionally cleaned after water damage. This was the machine the pro's used. Although expensive the price is nothing compared to what it cost to clean the mess. We have a nice ($600. Dollar) home dehumidifier that removes less than cup of water compared to this one which removes over a gallon of water in the same amount of time. Had them together just to compare. Home dehumidifier is going to a new home. This unit is worth the investment.
