ARCTIC FOX Semi-Permanent Color Phantom Green - Cruelty-Free - 8 fl oz

I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews for this product, thinking it might stain my hair and never fully come out, but that never happened. I got this for a Halloween costume because I didn't want to deal with a wig and decided to full send it with dying my hair. If my hair stayed green until it grew out and got chopped off, I figured it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but luckily I didn't even have to worry about that. Maybe it's just because my hair doesn't retain color very well or something, as I've got pretty thin and fine hair, but it came out within just a couple weeks. That could be a bonus if you're like me and just want it very temporarily, or maybe that's a bad thing for those of you who want it to last a lot longer. Keep in mind, though, that I didn't use any product to help the color last, just regular old shampoo and conditioner. Other than that, the color was really nice and wasn't too difficult to apply either. I, of course, had my sister help me apply it so it may have been a different story if I did it by myself. I've heard a lot of horror stories of this brand in specific staining surfaces if it comes into contact, but we didn't have any issues because we were quite careful when applying it. The green was a perfect shade, kind of like a dark forest-y green with a slightly higher pigmentation (so basically just like the name, phantom green). The character I was dressing up as was Deku from MHA, and the color was pretty much spot on with his weird broccoli hair if that says anything. I can say the dye was a little smelly, but it wasn't a bad smell, just very strong-- I would even argue that it even smelled kind of good. We also had just a little bit of dye left in the bottle when we were done, even after basically soaking my entire head in green, but I also have pretty short hair (imagine curly pixie cut) so if you have long or thick hair and want to dye all of it, you'll probably want more than one bottle.

As mentioned in previous reviews, my 13 year old angsty teenager loves to dye her hair. But only mid-way, not her whole head of gorgeous lion mane hair. So we let her do it because it's just hair. She loves it, I love that she loves it and the color is a really pretty jade on her dirty blonde/light brown hair. While it doesn't hold color very long (she's in the pool nearly every day), it lasts long enough to make her happy and for that, we take a bow and call it a win.

I've been a pretty consistent user of viral conditioner (awesome product) in between stylist appointments, and sometimes just for fun. They do have limited colors though. I had a pre-lightened partial balayage from January that I've been just redying over after fades, and that's what the fourth picture shows. For my underlying base and near the roots I used Viral Shampoo Denim because my natural hair is like a medium-brown, and then I went in with Viral Colorditioner Blue & the Artic Fox Phantom Green for the lightened top layers. I will say I did go in extra heavy with all the colors because I really wanted a strong vibrant color, and BAM I got it! The night before application I did a heavy hair mask treatment, and I followed the recommended guide of putting on a hair mask and setting it with low heat. Last, but not least..this stuff smells. It's like a mix of koolaide and sugar, or a jolly rancher, or cotton candy...if not for the current pandemic I have 0 doubt I could entrap men or sugar addicts merely by walking by.

The color is vibrant and dynamic, but not exactly as advertised. I dyed my hair 4 days ago and this definitely has better staying power than several other brands I’ve tried, as it’s faded very little since. However I wouldn’t describe it as a dark green. I’m not sure how it happened but my roots turned out NEON green and the rest has a much more blue hue to it. It’s really pretty, but not the forest green I was hoping for. That said I’m impressed with how saturated and lasting the color has been and am eager to try some different Arctic Fox colors.

It works well for what it is. Keep in mind it won't show up on dark hair (no rainbow colored dyes will) and doesn't bind well to untreated hair. While your hair is wet it WILL stain things, like your pillow cases, couch, clothes, car headrest, etc. So be careful. (This is true of all rainbow color dye types I've ever tried.) I bleach my light brown hair to a golden blonde before I use this. Then I apply the dye and wrap my hair in plastic under a sleeping cap. I sleep with it in and wash out in the morning. I only wash my hair every 3rd day, and in COLD water. If you wash your hair in hot water this fades to an ugly color quickly. Be warned, it never seems to wash entirely out - just gets faded and yucky looking. So I usually just dye the last 3-4 inches of my hair and when I get tired of keeping up with recoloring I cut it off. About once a week I refresh the color by mixing the dye 50/50 with a deep conditioner and leaving it on for several hours. Again, I wrap the section in plastic and put on a cap.

Perfect semi permanent hair color. Went on easily and thick. Great color. Great price and quality hair dye! My daughter wanted a kaleidoscope of colors in her hair. So, I bought six colors and it turned out really great!

Wish it stuck a little better without bleach but nice color:) strong smell, but to be expected. Smells like grapes haha

my boyfriend bought it for himself on my account! it faded to a strange color we had to lift it out. but i didn’t help him with it so he could’ve done it wrong. it faded to a brown olive color if that makes sense? this is a good brand so it’s probably user error. now that i’m writing this i have no idea how he even knew what arctic fox was 🧐

I thought it would give a dark forest green, but maybe since i directly applied it over my the blue greenish/turquoise it turned into a really really really pretty shade of more emerald green. Colors never stay long on my hair, so i can't objectively comment on the longetivity, but most likely, like with most colors, the more you care for it approprietly, the more it'll last. The fad out wasn't too bad, it didnt turned yellow. I pretty much returned to a dark turquoise wigh some really dark blue strikes...but then again, it may not be objective because of the color underneath 😅 It smelled really good but kind of like grape candy. The inside of the package smelled a lot of it too. I actually kept the product inside of it after the initial oppening for a few weeks and the smell was still strong... The format is really nice and easy to use but it's like a travel size shampoo bottle. I'm suprised i had enough of one to cover my hair. Would recommend to buy a second tho x)

Me encantó el tono y huele muy bien! La consistencia es buena, me lo pude aplicar con las manos (enguantadas) sin que se derramara o goteara. Falta ver cuánto dura pero al menos la impresión inicial 10/10

ブリーチ1回の髪で2度目の使用で綺麗な色に仕上がります。ただ染める時はホント生え際は気をつけないと肌に色がけっこう残ります。手袋は必須です。

I’ve been dying my hair for years. The color came out so weird not like the legit one (I’ve tried it before) AND the roots r still yellow. This has never happened to me and I’ve been dying my hair for YEARS.

This is by far my Favourite green I’ve been able to find although it washes out Relatively fast, it’s super nice and easy to maintain
