Bosch 67655 Original Equipment Replacement Electric Fuel Pump

Husband said to give this a 5 star rating, I'm not sure if I would and here's why. He was replacing his jeep fuel tank skid plate and needed to switch the tank from one plate to the other, in the process he said he had to tilt the tank to drain the remaining fuel to make reinstallation easier and and a few days later he got a hard start problem that he traced back to the fuel pump. Now the pump hadn't been a problem before but he said disturbing it might have caused it to go bad so he wasn't upset. He went online to find a new pump and read a lot of reviews and decided to go with the Bosch pump because of better build quality,now it's also twice the price of some of the other pumps but he said that it was a job that he only wanted to do once so he ordered it and it got here quickly and he installed it but it only half solved the problem in that it still took longer to start than it should have so he gave it a complete tune up with nothing but the best parts,replaced the coil with a high output one which made it run fantastic(it ran ok before)but not start any easier. Finally he had the fuel line pressure tested and discovered that the expensive pump or more accurately the fuel pressure regulator on the new pump was defective. So he contacted Amazon and they got him a new pump to him right away,gave him 30 days to send back the defective one and even has it set up to print out the UPS tag from the house so he says that's why to give it 5 stars, I'll let you decide

I had to return the first one because the inner transfer tube was completely broke, so the fuel didn't pump out of the top port.My application: 1997 Jeep Wrangler, Sahara.Standing this next to my original pump, this new one seemed about 1/8" taller. I had to remove the river feet from the bottom to get it to sit low enough in the tank to allow the ring to fully screw on.After all the headache of getting the 2nd one installed, my jeep now turns on immediately, and the fuel gauge is more accurately.

I noticed another reviewer mention it was an aftermarket product....the one I bought came in a Bosch box, with Bosch warranty card etc. So seems genuine Bosch to me.I'm not a super mechanic so I was concerned at first when I stood the new unit next to the old one I removed from the gas tank and they were not the same height. First thought was "this isn't good". Then I discovered the new unit is "spring loaded" and therefore height adjustable. Put it in and works perfectly for me. No issues at all.

The first time I installed the pump it did not work. Further investigation revealed that the manufacturer had mis-assembled the pump by connecting the pump wires to the level sensor, and the level sensor wires to the fuel pump. Since these connections were of the same type (poor design for this application) they were easily swapped and now the pump is working as it should.Ensure that you check your pump for the proper wire routing prior to installation to save rework time, and reduce the potential fire danger from applying 12v to the shorted circuit (level sensor).

1997 Jeep TJ direct fit replacement - researched other brands, and they all offered a one year or less warranty. I contacted Bosch and they offer a limited lifetime as long as you own the vehicle, covering direct replacement. (Not Labor). THis worked perfectly, and got the Jeep back up and running, and peace of mind with the Warranty.

This went on a 97 wrangler tj. Old fuel pump was weak and took several starting attempts before the jeep would turn on. This new pump solved that problem. Jeep now starts on the first attempt. In regards to what other reviewers mentioned; my new pump only had a tiny sticker on it that said "Bosch". Otherwise, the Bosch name is nowhere to be found on the actual pump. Made me second guess whether the sticker was slapped on a non-Bosch pump. Otherwise, really happy with the purchase.

My TJ would struggle going up sand dunes in the desert, after replacing my aftermarket fuel pump with this, the power output is phenomenal, now it races up the dunes, cruises at high speed on the highway, goes up and down hills so much better. Starting is instant as well.Never again buy an after market fuel pump.

This worked Great! I bought a Jeep that had the Fuel Pump recently replaced, it started very hard. I even replaced the regulator. But after some research I found that Bosch was the one to buy for replacement. It took care of the problem!!! Don't skimp!

So far so good. Easy to install once you get the tank dropped. A big notice in acceleration performance from my last pump setup.

This fits a 1998 Jeep TJ. It comes with the black rubber seal that you'll find on the old one.
