good looking, high quality, but does not age well
According to Amazon I ordered this item from Amazon directly in 2005, so I've owned it atleast 6 years.The good; still runs great, still waterproof, no leaks. The finish and trim are pretty eye catching, even though i think it's banged up now, people still compliment how nice the watch looks.The bad; the finish is just a coating, it does eventually wear through after several years, revealing the stainless steel base. This is most noticeable on the underside of the bracelet, so it's not obvious. I believe this finish is also used on several other models of seiko watches.Also if you use the stopwatch function, the battery wears out faster. I've had to replace the battery something like 3 times already.Other notes; The band/case material is NOT titanium. I think the titanium just refers to the coating color. As noted above, underneath the coating it's stainless steel.The crystal material is fairly scratch resistant, it had only fine hairline scratches for some years, until i scraped it against the road while crawling around underneath my car.The clasp also doesn't hold well anymore. I think a jeweler could fix it but given the condition, it's probably not worth it now. I just ordered another Seiko instead. :)

A Good Value For Money Watch
I was browsing through amazon as well as many other sites to get hold of a good deal for a nice watch. Then, Seiko SNA283 appeared in my list. By seeing the images, I thought it was not bad, thought the images didn't do any justice to the real one. ( I have uploaded some images of mine ). And the price quoted was $130.Lookwise, its an excellent one. The only thing I could note as a let down is its weight. It may be because I was using a much lesser weighted one all these days.If you are looking for a good looking, elegant watch for a cheap price, you can bet on this one.

Excellent watch
My wife bought this watch for me a little over 3 years ago, and I love it. Considering I tend to forget to take it off when I do home projects and the like, the fact it shows little to no wear, is a testament to the quality of construction. If you're looking for a beautiful watch with excellent craftsmanship, this is the one.
