UPDATE: Didn't last but one week - one of the screws came out of the lid. Sending back. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Instead, I found a much better one - (see link) and the reviews are stellar.  Bee House Salt Box  Yes the newer one is more expensive, but in this case, you truly get what you pay for.OLD REVIEW: This spice jar is okay for what I need it for, but the 'hinge' (or lack thereof) could be better. The screws on the side that act as a hinge is sort of lackluster and makes it look cheap. However, since I will be using it as a salt pig next to my stove, it'll do. I like that it is covered, which is why I purchased it despite some of the less than stellar reviews. My current salt pig isn't covered, and I wanted something that had a cover and this will work for now, or until I find something better. I won't be using the included ceramic spoon, I will use the wood spoon from my other salt pig. The ceramic spoon just seems like it will break easy in an active kitchen. I would not use this for other spices because it isn't sealed. Spice storage should be airtight. It did arrive quickly and I didn't pay an arm and a leg for it, so until I see something I like better, I'll use this. It's just okay in my opinion. Great idea that could be a winner with some tweaks.

this is fine. just as pictured. I don't expect it to last forever as the hinged connection is rather flinsey. but how often do you open your salt box? It looks good on my stove, like the included spoon ... it's fine. A little pricey for what you get .... if you could find this at WalMart, it would be $4. but, you probably can't sooooo ...

Wanted a sugar bowl with an attached lid. This is perfect. Have had it about a week now. The notch for the spoon is a nice feature as well. At $19.99 it's a little pricey for what it is. But still happy with it so far.

I like the shape and the metering of my spice jar. The only thing I didn't like is the size of this. I will use this for my salt jar and i think it is little smaller than I expected. So unfortunately I will have to refill it frequently.

This spice jar with spoon has been a wonderful product for storing just about anything that I use on a daily basis. I use mine for storing a powdered electrolyte that I take on a daily basis. It's easy to open and access the ingredients. It's small enough that it fits neatly on the countertop and has a pleasing shape/design and color. Whoever designed this one got it right: Form follows function.

I really like this salt box the only downside is that it's a little on the small side. I expected it to be larger than it actually is.

This is so great to keep your sea salt in...it's covered to keep clean and the little spoon is great for adding a pinch without sticking your hands in the salt...again to keep it clean. And it's the perfect size...doesn't take up too much room, but large enough so you don't have to refill constantly.

It came on time, looks the way it did in the picture, I have no complaints.
