A quick investment
Ok...The information out there about this retrofit is lacking sufficient details and I assume the product contents have changed. First of all, I have a SuperNova2 chuck and I ordered the SKU 8100 Slide Upgrade kit for $100 from Amazon to make it an "Infinity quick change" chuck. On January, 24, 2015, I installed the slides into the chuck with no problems following the video from the Teknatool site/ Youtube. Now, each set of jaws that I want to use with this "quick change chuck" will require the NOVA Infinity Retro Fit Kit SKU 8200. If you have six different types of jaw sets you must have six SKU 8200 kits at $42 each. Each SKU 8200 kit from Amazon includes four adapters AND EIGHT SCREWS. One jaw mounts onto one adapter with two screws. These adapters then snap into the quick change slides. Jaws are removed by depressing a spring loaded pin on the end of the slides, making it a quick release. The jaws do extend out now about 0.25'' because of the thickness of the adapter. The set-up seems robust but I have not turned anything with them yet. The Infinity quick change set-up will save a lot of time when changing to a different set of jaws, but the cost to me is $100 for slides + $42 * 6 jaw sets = $352. I believe it is a good investment. Reading the three reviews on this item, I assumed the adapters originally didn't come with screws- but in January 2015 the kit came with screws. Just for information- these screws are no longer available from Home Depot, because I tried to order them before my adapters came. These screws are special and are not the same as standard metric socket flat head 6mm x 10 length (M610). Standard heads are too large in diameter to fit the countersinks.Update- Sometimes the adapters stick when I'm trying to take the jaws off of the chuck and I need a third hand to tap them loose as I press in on the release pin. I have purchased and assembled five sets of adapters, and have another on the way. Three of the sets of adapters had a homogenous mat silver finish and looked good. The other two sets had a splotchy black oxide finish, and in each of these two sets, one adapter had rust on the foot bottom. I stoned away the rust, oiled, and assembled the adapters. I'm not sure if these black oxide adapters were finished, or rejects, but they are not as good a finish as the mat silver pieces. I just hope the strength of these parts is the same. I wish Teknatool would comment. I've sent Teknatool two emails through their website and they did not respond. The first, in January 2015, I asked about the availability of the new Infinity jaw sizes #4 - #7. The second email in February 2015, was a concern about the black oxide adapters that were rusty compared to the nice mat silver adapters. Why such a difference? Were the black oxide parts finished parts? Is the tensile strength the same? Teknatool did not respond- very poor customer service.

A good idea, but...
If you have a Nova2 chuck, I would suggest taking it apart before ordering this kit. I have 2, Nova2 chucks. I liked the first one , so I bought another on sale. I noticed that one chuck did not open as wide as the other, not much, but noticeable and both chuck began to stall as they reached their fullest diameter. This did not seem to be a problem as I do not use the jaws at full expansion. I bought the jaw slide kit for one of my chucks, grabbed one and took it apart. All went well until I tried to remove the #2 slide from the #2 channel. I could only slide it out by going out the back, through the #4 channel. I tried sliding the new #2 slide in and it would only going into #2 through #4. I put that chuck back together and tried the other Nova2. This one fared better, but not as good as I would like. This chuck stalls on the #2 channel, as well, but the slide did come out. The slides all slide in. #'s 1,3 and 4 and all performed as they should on both chucks. If it wasn't for the #2 channel on both chucks, I would give this kit 4 or 5 stars, as once mounted, if you can mount them, they're pretty sweet.

Retro-fit was easy
I love the speed and ease that this retro-fit made for my existing chuck. I have a SuperNOVA2 chuck. I watched the video from Teknatool on how to change the jaw slides. The only tool I had to purchase was some snap-ring pliers. The change was easy after watching the video. Chuck works great. I have used it several times since the upgrade and jaw changing is easy and fast. It was well worth the investment. Change over time is seconds instead of minutes. Its great to have a company like Teknatool pay attention to existing users and make a way for us to preserve our investment.

Expensive after upgrading jaw sets.
I sent it back because you must buy a kit for each set of jaws that makes the cost way to much. Its not clear that you must do that.

For Once a Company Looking Out for Their Customers Instead of Just Making a Buck…
It is great that Nova developed the retro-fit system instead of making you buy a completely new chuck and all the new jaws to go with it.I have upgraded my existing Nova Chuck. I can make a complete change of jaws in under a minute. Before, with unscrewing and replacing each jaw piece took upwards of 10 minutes. Not very efficient when working in the garage. Now I go back and forth as needed.Great Item!

I had issues with one set retro fitting the Super Nova 2
I had issues with one set retro fitting the Super Nova 2. However, the replacement set of jaws worked great though I'm a tad reserved with the additional profile the retro fit kit adds to the accessories.
