Mele & Co. Cameron Plush Fabric Jewelry Box, Ring and Earring Organizer (Black)

Giftable, sturdy and great value for the price!

I bought this as a Christmas gift, and I am so impressed that I'm going to order one for myself. It will make a very impressive gift.. presentation box is a really nice box, and once opened, it is in a "dust cover" (like purse dust covers, although I'm sure it's meant for presentation.. unless you were traveling and wanted to protect the outside in your luggage). It is impressive. I was sort of worried about that "plush" description of the exterior. I have maybe five or six smaller Mele earring boxes from 20 years ago, and some are in a leatherette, and some in something like velvet, and they look just like new. Well, I bought black for her, and I would describe the exterior as black suede, so it will be durable. I don't think anyone mentioned that there is a snap under that flap.I still use my other ones.. have one for gold, silver, summer colored, really expensive...and open each at least once a week and they are still like new, so I'm sure this will last this 30 year old recipient the rest of her life.

I was looking for an earring organizer with a lot of compartments but not very high so that it would fit easily in a dresser drawer. After a long search this was the best I could find. It seems well constructed and is only about an 1 1/2" tall. The compartments however werr deep and it was not as easy as I hoped to view the earrings. I pretty much resolved that issue when I looked around the house and found a sheet of yellow foam which I cut into squares and poked some of the earrings into before pushing them into their little pockets. It helped so much and I realized no was probably lucky to have found yellow foam because it really made the earrings more visible. The foam probably came from some packing material and is about a 1/4" thick though if you can find some 1/2" thickness I suspect it might work better.

Bought one for gift and one for organizing a craft/hobby. This box is perfect both as a gift for organizing earrings, pins, pendants, keepsakes etc.and also for organizing crafts that use small parts and pieces such as beading. The slots are perfect for organizing different sizes and shapes of glass beads and findings, clasps, connectors, end pieces, different colors of threads, etc. Unlike other boxes the top has an inset that closes inward so the pieces will not move or fall out if the box is turned upside down. The dividers can also be rearranged or partially or wholly removed if needed. The unit is sturdy and very well made, and it should last almost forever if taken care of properly. Excellent product. This is an excellent jewelry box if you want to store earrings, pins, and other small items. It arrived well-wrapped in a nice cardboard box. You can easily get your fingers into the spaces to retrieve the jewelry. You can see them well against the light background when trying to choose what to wear. The plush dividers are sturdy. A row or column can be removed to make the compartments bigger for holding larger jewelry without compromising the sturdiness. It opens and closes easily & the lid will lie back enough to stay up. The material does not feel cheap or flimsy. After I received the first one, I bought four more units; they stack well. I have looked at so many different models but have found no better, and certainly none at anywhere near this price. I am highly satisfied. I think I'll buy more for Christmas presents for relatives with newly pierced ears.

The quality is okay I guess. Not as good as I was hoping. It's cardboard covered in fabric, basically. The dividers lift out and some can be taken out separately to create bigger slots. It will be fine for what I need. I was going to get another Glenor Co. box bc those are seriously fantastic for the same price. However, I went with this due to more slot space hoping that the mele & co. would have as good of quality, but I was extremely wrong. Quality of this is like a 5 out of 10. It's kinda sturdy. Not great though, I wouldn't travel with it. Seems like it would get damaged if you used it to travel. It should be find sitting in a drawer or on a table.

I have a lot of pendants that I've collected over the years, and I was storing them in a jewelry armoire that had separate drawers but no dividers. I started looking around for a slim jewelry box with compartments that would enable me to store each pendant in a separate slot, and this box fit the bill perfectly. It is diivided into 35 slots and easily stores fairly large pendants. If the pendant is too large, the divider can be removed to accommodate the larger size. The box is very nicely constructed, with a lovely velvet covering.

If you're looking for an elegant, well designed storage case for rings and small bobbles, this is it. It's not fancy but it keeps small jewelry, such as rings, small pins and earrings, safely stored. The inside of the cover is slightly padded, so if you tip it upside down, nothing escapes. Would make a nice gift for someone (male or female) who likes to keep small stuff organized! When you go on a trip you could probably store it vertically in a bookcase full of books, to make it an unlikely largest for a thief.

I bought a jewelry box like this a few years ago and loved it. I was very happy to find another one that is identical. It is a good quality and holds a lot of earrings. It is easy to cut the dividers to accommodate bracelets and larger pendants if you need larger compartments. They stack well and look very attractive. I bought two black cases.
