ViewSonic VX2758-P-MHD 27 Inch 1080p 144Hz 1ms Gaming Monitor with FreeSync Premium Eye Care HDMI and DisplayPort

First off, I really like this new monitor and it replaced another an older Viewsonic monitor that was about 3 years old and maxed out at 60hz. This review is for the frameless 27 inch monitor. I am not using this for gaming and mostly for business, You Tube and using DAW software. At first, I thought I had to take it back because there were flashes on the screen every time I went above 60hz. It wasn't the monitor, it was the cable I was using. I changed out the cable to the one that came with the monitor and that was much better. I then purchased a very high end quality HDMI cable and that made all of the difference. I am using this with a mid 2015 Apple Macbook Pro and is working perfectly. Very happy with the monitor. Cables matter.

My 14–year-old son insisted on this monitor. A bit expensive for a monitor but apparently this is one of the best gaming monitors for the price. Easy to set up. Clear and crisp. No complaints.

Update: my monitors buttons have gotten a little stiff and I have to press harder to actually have them respond. This isnt a big issue but since the buttons are such a simple part of the monitor for them to be stiff is a tad bit annoying. Again, it's not a big deal, everything else on my monitor works well, but I have reduces the price to 4 stars because of this. I still recommend this monitor to anyone on a budget, it is really impressive for the price still. I also updated my portion on the amd freesync since I got an amd card.I have to admit when I was hesitant buying this monitor because of the several reviews talking about negatives like brightness, and more specifically having dead pixels. But I can safely say that I am glad I bought this monitor, I will fill you in on why.Several other people had problems with pixels dying but not me, I've only had the monitor for about 3 or so months now but they usually say pixels die within the first 30 days. No dead pixels for me, I can not guarantee that all monitors wont be defective though.The monitor is good for the price, the reason why I bought this monitor is because I was on a tight budget and this monitor is a cheaper model. This monitor has exeed my expectations for the price.You should go on the website to download the monitor drivers, but it does work out of the box.It's also a pretty big monitor I wasn't looking for a big monitor but having a larger screen is nice I have to say.A lot of people say it doesnt get very bright especially on 144 hz mode. For me at least, it gets plenty bright on any mode it is on. I am in a generally dark room so I dont ever have problems with the brightness, in fact I usually have my brightness at around 50, and sometimes at its minimum during nighttime.The settings are a little bit annoying though, there is two ways to get into settings. The normal settings you just press the top button, the advanced settings you press any button that isnt the top button (assuming your not already in one of the settings) the normal settings has different color modes like fps game rts game etc, but I generally don't ever use those settings and tbh I am not sure why they are there. It also has things like adjust brightness or contrast, what display mode it is on, and volume settings which I also dont use and that is only if you use the monitors speakers or headphone jack.Also regarding the speaker, they arent very good speakers dont expect much out of them. This isnt a setback for me because I wasn't planning on using them anyways.The advanced settings has more detailed settings, like specific color settings, and a manual image adjust. I dont use either so I cant go into detail about those settings. The advanced settings also has a setup menu with settings for language, AMD Freesync, the 1ms response time mode, resolution notice, information which displays your frequency, model number, and your serial number. The setup menu also displays other stuff like OSD timeout and OSD backround, and power indicator/auto turn off option and a few other things.Another negative about the monitor is ghosting on 1 ms mode, there is ghosting. I dont mind it too much because it's really just the mouse cursor that has ghosting problems. I havent noticed any issues regarding ghosting while playing games.The amd freesync is definantly a big plus for this monitor, it really makes games feel more smooth. The only issue is that I requires an amd graphics card (obviously) but if you already buy amd cards that shouldn't be an issue.Overall I am very satisfied with the monitor, it has exceeded my expectations and I would definantly recommend it to anyone on a budget.

For Gaming - we received this super fast so Kudos to the seller for getting the product out fast. Great for gaming and for kids looking to hook up a monitor to their school chrome books during remote learning when not gaming.

He loves how large the screen is and the very fast graphics

Perfect monitor for business brings out great color, perfect for apps, ppt, excel and general business. I do not game so could not elaborate on that.

This is a very good monitor for the money. Playing at the higher refresh rate is definitely noticeable.

The picture is fine. I'd recommend it if you'll be plugging it in, adjusting the settings once, and then never switching input or turning it off or anything. But if you need to turn it off, or switch source regularly, don't buy this monitor. The buttons are half way up the back around the right side of the monitor. I use this as my left monitor, pushed right up against my main monitor, so I can't get to the buttons at all without pulling the monitor forward and turning it to get to the buttons. And the 6 button system is not intuitive. It's impossible to navigate the menus.

Awesome monitor. Good picture quality and color, but unfortunately it does not work with PS5 120hz. Had to purchase a different monitor to accomplish this.

Bought this for my son to go along with his new gaming computer. I was concerned about the quality based on the features this monitor offered vs the price but, I am happy to report the performance of this monitor is great. It exceeded my expectations.

This has been a great monitor! Great quality for an even greater price! If I could think of one downside, it’s the lack of height adjustability. Other than that would recommend!

The main reason I've bought it was to play FPS games, and I have slightly improved my skills after I started using this monitor. I do recommend this product, especially if you are a gamer!
