Good Deal On A Good 30 Watt Soldering Iron.
Everything was assembled correctly, no visible defects or damages. Works good. Nickel plated round pointed tip helps with more precision work, such as PCBs and small connectors, while lasting longer than bare copper tips. Would recommend this soldering iron to friends for basic PCB work, smaller wires, cables and connectors .

Don't Buy, don't buy
This is a pathetic piece of crap. Out of the package one of the 3 base screws was loose so I tried to tighten, it wouldn't. The other screws also loose. Fired it up for a very small solder job. The thing smoked like crazy. While soldering, the base came undone again as the screws were loose and probably stripped, or the plastic overheated and they just gave way. Piece of junk.

perfect
Just your basic soldering iron but it heats up fast and does the job. Great price, and comes with its own little stand.

Price was excellent compared to retail outlets providing a similar item
Probably works well with small electronic items but the use in this case was for soldering pieces of screening onto a bbq pit cover and it failed to be able to heat up the two joining pieces at the same time so it became an epic fail. Will go to blow torch to do a proper job. Price was excellent compared to retail outlets providing a similar item.

Not amazing, but it's a good value and gets the job done. Worth what I paid.
You get what you pay for, but this iron does its job. I needed a cheap yet effective iron to do some quick electrical repairs and this satisfied that need at a good price. Issues with the design, the holder doesn't so much hold it in place as it does prop up the iron. You need to be careful where the power cable is because it will pull on the iron and take it where it wants to go. I recommend fastening the cable to your desk to prevent the iron from falling over if the cable is hit. Or sticky tape the holster. It's not super hot but it's hot enough to melt the solder. Summary: If you wanted a high performance iron you wouldn't be looking at a <$15 iron. This, however, gets the job done with an acceptable level of quality. Be careful with the power cable and the stand
