I was very nervous reading the mixed reviews, because some said it was cheaply made, they did not work, wasn’t as advertised, even wasn’t worth the money, worked perfectly, and easy to use. But I thought, “What the heck, I’ll just see for myself!”, after all there were some positive reviews in the mix and I have never been able to do a French braid nor any other braid for that matter. It came with a total of 7 tools, one of French braiders is not pictured because it’s in my hair. LOL I tried 3 times and i was able to use the French braider tool. It takes some time, but I was able to secure a small bundle of hair and proceed to braid. I’d like to note my hair is not very thick nor thin, but straight and sleek and shoulder length. This tool is a great because usually a lot of tools/hair accessories would slip out of my hair because it is very sleek. So far it has been 3 hours and my hair is still in braids. I think for the most of the hair tool is hidden in my hair, and if not, I can always cover the tool with mini hair clips. For someone with shoulder length hair I think the French braider tool fits just right if it is secured high enough. My tools came with English instructions and pictures, which I found after I unfolded the packaging. But I think it is better to repeatedly watch video tutorials online and just take your time with the tool and be patient and go at your own speed when braiding.

Yikes this is awful. I have extremely thick straight hair so braiding it is really hard for me because my arms get so tired, and the braid never ends up looking right anyway. Thought this tool would work but NOPE. This is made for the opposite - extremely thin hair. I knew immediately it wouldn't work on the back of my head so I tried testing it out on a front strand and as you can see in my photo, it ended up creating knots. There is no way anyone could use this on the back of their head and 1) not get knots if you do it by yourself and 2) actually pull all your hair into this tool. Super cheap plastic and not worth it.

Very difficult to use on myself....that's why i ordered it....Had to return, but after , I'd realized I'd left 2 of the plastic guides out of pkg... They broke & I already tossed them out!!! Hope this product works for others! Very flimsy....kem820

If you have thicker hair, it hard to use. My hair isn’t super thick, but isn’t very fine and I couldn’t really use it- my hair kept slipping out of the gadget. Good concept but very flimsy, making it difficult to use. I questioned if this item actually worked so I wasn’t going to spend more money on something I wasn’t sure worked. Perhaps spend a few extra dollars for a higher quality one

Has made doing both mine and my daughters hair so much easier in the mornings and has really helped my daughter be able to do some cool braids on her own long, thick hair.

I have fooled with these for awhile. I don't have long enough hair around my face to use those braids but I do use the long yellowish colored one almost daily.

These are horrible. They are cheap and flimsy. Half of them broke and the clasps don't work. I found them to be more annoying then braiding my daughters hair without a tool.

I wish these were more flexible, thinner and came in two different sizes. I got this for my daughter but they’re big and end up being bulky and uncomfortable for her
