ASUS VC62B-B014M Desktop

I haven't had a lot of luck with the small Windows capable computers, until now. This thing is really great, it does everything it says it will, and a bit more. I originally purchased one of these to replace an aging HTPC running Windows Vista. To the bare-bones package I added 16 GIGs memory, a 250 GB SSD and a 2 TB hard drive. I have been building computers since the late 1980s and I have to say this one went together easier and faster than anything I have ever done. Thanks to the "pop top" design the only tool you need, at all, is a small phillips screwdriver to open the drive bay and mount the drives. Memory is an easy fit too. Booted with an external DVD drive to my Windows 8.1 install disk, loaded the OS, added the Asus drivers from the enclosed disk, and it was done.Windows did its updates then I took the free upgrade to Windows 10, that installed flawlessly.This computer is fast, quiet, and small. No, it is not just quiet, it is silent. I am so happy with my purchase that I am buying a second one today, equipped just like the first, to be a CCTV server. At this size and price I just can't afford to pass it up! Have no hesitation on this computer it is a lot of bang for the buck and more importantly it WILL get the job done!

Very impressed with this little thing. I ordered it with 16GB RAM and threw in an old SSD (SAMSUNG 840) I had, and it works like a charm. I decided to load Windows 7 on it, and haven't regretted it. Windows experience overall is 6.9, I think it said. Way more than adequate for my media PC. Other pros; wireless AC, 4 USB 3.0 ports, small form factor, no noise, HDMI AND DP out. I've transferred 6 different directories simultaneously between a USB drive, my attached storage, and streamed HD movies at the same time with no hiccups or lag.You really cant go wrong with this. It is more than adequate for 90% of the computer users out there.

Fantastic little piece of computing power, the dual bays are awesome as you can fit an SSD and also a second 2.5"hard drive. I am using it as a small CCTV server and it is perfect, low noise, low power consumption and very very responsive in terms of performance (It is a Quad Core i5, with 16GB RAM on Windows 7).Plenty of ports for USB and the sound quality is quite good for an on-board sound card. Extremely easy to install all components such as RAM and HDDs.Will definitely be looking to add another as a HTPC in the near future.

This barebones computer was the easiest machine to put together. Toss in an SSD, some memory, and you boot right into the BIOS for some tweaking. Set USB as the 1st boot option, use an OS on a USB drive and you're up and running in a very short period of time. The system is fast and has plenty of ports for whatever you need.

The bomb as a high res music server, especially after adding the HDPLEX 100w Power supply and running two SSD's in Raid 0 :) just using J river and Fidelizer the sound quality is outstanding........my Mac Mini look a like.... windows machine is way cool and very fast to boot:)

Great little PC. The wifi doesn't work well with WPA2 Enterprise if you're in an industrial area... Otherwise seems great!

Great machine for the money. Super easy to open and add components. Added an SDD, 8 gb of ram, and Win10 Pro 64bit . I only use it for desktop work and some audio/video streaming but it runs like a scalded dog.

Perfect, fast and compact, i put a CROSAIR SSD inside and 8Gb and it's running perfectly. ANd noiseless.
