Amazon Basics December Door Lever With Lock, Privacy, Matte Black

Got these on clearance so no regrets. Overall, it's a good quality product and installs easily for at least half the time. I installed ~20 of these and for 10, a little wiggling / brute force were needed to push two sides into each other on the door. I replaced all Kwikset knobs and no adjustment to the hole/latch etc was required. In fact, I left strike plates from before and these work just fine! Hopefully they last.

Got this on special and it is very sturdy and easy to install. The price was beyond excellent and I would purchase again if I had to at regular price.

Our last door handle decided to fall apart so every time we closed the basement door, the handle on the basement side would fall off and fall to the floor. It would have to be retrieved and shoved back on the door in order to open the door, so this got old fast. I went to Amazon and quickly found they had cheaper options than the local brick and mortar stores. I opted for this one via Amazon Warehouse because it was a few dollars cheaper. The one sent to me had a small scratch near one of the holes where the screw holds the two sides together so I suspect it was used but the scratch can't be seen where it is in our house so I was fine with that miner imperfection. It's so nice to not have to retrieve half of the door handle to open the door when coming up from the basement now!

I love the ease of installation. One door went easy peasy the second, a different door type, the locking mechanism that latches into the strike plate needed a 1 inch entry hole, mine was 7/8 inch. Off to home depot, purchased a 1 inch High-Speed Steel Forstner Bit, drilled it to 1 inch in a second. So be aware you may need to enlarge this hole, take your door handle off and take out the middle locking mechanism and measure the hole, if it is less than 1 inch you will need to add the cost of the bit to your price. It was worth it to me, added $12 to the cost of 2, totally worth it.

Good quality, I liked the fact that the mounting side handle can be removed allowing access to the mounting screws without having to navigate around handle. They look good.I needed to change the latch mounted cover plate from radiused cornered plate with the squared corner plate. While attempting to pry it off which was very difficult I distorted the backing plate. The new would not snap onto the backing plate like the factor mounted plate. I had to install as separate pieces hence the 3 star rating for installation. If you need the radiused plate, you will have no difficulty. John G

The price and reviews were great. Unfortunately, after about 4 months, the lock on the one I received started sticking, making it difficult to lock by hand from the inside. The lock needs to be giggled around and positioned in a certain way to be able to lock it from the inside.

This is the 2nd AmazonBasics doorknob I’ve installed & it was a breeze! (The 1st one I installed had a key lock, so a little trickier.)I learned to ignore most of the instructions since I was just replacing same size for same size & once you take off the old handle, it’s obvious what to do.Our front hall still had the original 1990’s builder grade shiny brass plated handles on the closet doors & it’s past time for them to go. This door lever is solid, heavy, comes with instructions & organized parts. It’s really simple & nice looking & matches our black and ivory staircase now!

This was a quick replacement as my old handle broke off in my son's hand. Seems sturdy and opens with less than a 70 degree turn.

Es muy fácil de instalar y tiene una muy buena calidad de sus elementos. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

A principio tenía dudas de la calidad de la manija por el precio ( estába en promoción) y me decidí en comprarla y la verdad no me arrepiento, tiene buena calidad no llegando a excelente pero si están resistentes viene con todos sus aditamentos e instructivo no se me dificultó colocarla en una puerta de madera, pero si nunca has colocado alguna chapa o manija mejor contrata a algún carpintero si la recomiendo por precio económico y buena calidad.

Fácil de instalar, muy suave para abrir y cerrar. La óptica también es muy juega.
