Lash Blast Clump Crusher Extensions Mascara - 840 Very Black Extension

About five years ago, I reviewed Clump Crusher, a product that my wife had only recently begun to use at the time. After a few weeks she was completely sold on the product. She's still buying it, although she doesn't use makeup as often now. That product listing is no longer on Amazon, but what I said in the review is still valid, so I'll repeat it here: Aging baby boomers, my wife and I don't get out as much as we once did, but we do still go out occasionally. My wife has always used very light makeup, but she still uses mascara to highlight her eyes and long lashes. When she developed a slight tremble in her hands a couple of years ago (inherited from her mom, I think), she was concerned about applying mascara for fear of injuring her eyes, so I volunteered to apply it. Surprisingly, she accepted my offer. One of her biggest gripes about mascara is its tendency to clump and look messy, so she was glad to try Clump Crusher. The product comes in a sealed bottle with a separate brush that you can see through the packaging. The brush is slightly curved at the applicator end, which has dozens of very fine bristles about 1.5 mm long. The round brush's handle is about 0.9" in diameter, which makes it easy to hold. That's the obvious stuff. In use, we both appreciated how the fine bristles separated and coated her lashes evenly with no noticeable clumping. I applied one coat of the mascara to both her eyes around noon yesterday, then we left the house for about seven hours to deliver Christmas presents and have dinner at a restaurant. When we returned, we both examined her eyes and found no smudging or flaking, even with a few tears shed at one stop. Later that evening, my wife removed the mascara with a washcloth and warm soapy water. It removed fairly easily with no visible traces left. Overall, the Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara appears to be a fine product that works as advertised. My wife is sold on the product.

This is by far the best anti clump mascara I've tried. I was using Essence tubing mascara which was a hit like 3 years ago, but I think they changed their formulas and their mascara is awful now, so I decided to branch out. In today's economy I can't and won't jump onto these pricey products peddled by beauty influencers. For one, I'm GenX and I don't trust anyone, two, I'm broke so price is important. I decided to try this one out. I like that the brush doesn't come in the bottle. This is mentioned often enough, but the brush being in the tube sitting on the package for lord knows how long is actually a bad thing, it breaks down the product making it a lot less effective when you actually make the purchase and pop the brush into the tube. I like the rounded brush, but I don't want it super c shaped, because my lashes don't sit that way they are more straight across. The actual mascara is dark, the brush separates lashes extremely well, and a second coat makes them actually pop with zero clumps. My mom taught me to curl the lashes AFTER applying mascara once it's dry, and I'm not sure why know once else does this. It's 100% the way to get that false lash look. No, my lashes don't fall out as long as youradcara is dry.

This mascara has become my current go-to everyday mascara since I bought it. It thickens and lengthens my lashes just enough without looking ridiculous. My eyelashes are already black but this mascara definitely enhances the darkness. My eyelashes are normally straight and not that long, but using an eyelash curler and then this mascara is definitely a big improvement. The mascara is not so heavy as to weigh down my eyelashes, so they are able to hold the curl well while using this product. The product does feel a bit dry, making application not as smooth, but likely less messy. I definitely like this mascara on my lower lashes since it just gives them a bit of extra pop without smudging everywhere. If you're looking for more dramatic lashes, this mascara does actually make a good base mascara with a more dramatic one on top. It's a pretty decent mascara, but I'm not sure I would stay loyal to it after the tube ran out since it isn't mindblowingly great, it is just decent and cheap.

So far I am loving this mascara. I can't tell you how many different mascaras I have gone through over the years looking for the perfect one, and I think I've found it! I am very particular about how my eyelashes look, I have a lot of natural volume so I really only want length but it's so hard to find a lengthening mascara that doesn't bunch up the lashes, and the mascaras that are volume + length usually create a lot of build up on my lashes. This one creates perfect separation, and when it says clump crusher, it means clump crusher! I have had zero clumps with this, the brush applies the mascara evenly and perfectly, and creates the perfect amount of length. So glad I gave this one a try!

Great mascara if you are really against clumping and are willing to sacrifice BIG lashes for clumps!!! I am devoted to the original lashblast in the orange tube...and may always be (I think I've tried everything out there from low to high end). I was hoping that this mascara would be very similar to the original lashblast in the orange tube with less clumping. My problem is that the original lashblast goes on thick and only needs 2 coats. This clump crusher takes many more coats and never comes close to reaching the volume & length that my lashes get with the original lashblast. If you don't want HUGE lashes...this may be the perfect mascara for you!! It is nice for the lower lashline for people with shorter lashes because the wand is much smaller and would work well on lower lashes. Note: I have very long blond lashes that are fairly dense, as eyelashes go (even though I have dark brown hair). Since I have long lashes already, this may be why I have better luck with the old lashblash. I can almost achieve a false lash look with the orange tube (people have stopped me on the street wearing the orange lashblast). I know that a lot of people like this one over the orange tube...but I'm not one of them. Best wishes!!!!

I’ve used covergirl lash blast(orange tube) for 10 years but have had issues with clumping and flaking the last couple tubes. I decided to switch and tried a couple more expensive mascaras, which didn’t work out or look good t all. The image attached is a couple of coats which went on seamlessly without clumps or excessive product. The applicator brush is rougher than others but it totally makes the difference in keeping your eyelashes separated. All of this comes with a cheap price tag which is wonderful. Will most definitely purchase again and again. This image was after 6 hours of wear in 100 degree heat with humidity with no signs of smudging, running, or flaking. Easy to remove at the end of the day and woke up the next day with zero gunk on eyes as I’ve had with previous products

Love the clump crusher! This mascara is my favorite, and it seems like I tried every $1-$40 mascara out there. It really extends my lashes for an"extensions" type look. However, what I like best about it is that it keeps my lashes smooth and separated, so I don't get those thick stuck-together lashes or clumps. I use the non-waterproof kind, but it will stay on overnight if I don't wash it off before bed, and my lashes don't get hard and crusty. I get compliments all the time on my eyelashes when I wear this! As a note, this mascara only provides slight thickening. I have fairly thick black lashes, so I only need two swipes of this to lift and extend them - if you apply too many layers to try to thicken your lashes, it will start to clump up on you. In that case, you might want to try the purple or orange lashblast, which I also have liked, but they definitely pump up the thickness of your lashes a lot more.

The bristles are very hard!!! Not only that but hardly any mascara "attaches" to the brush so you can't even see any of the mascara on your lashes of any you do get. Just bought this off here and very disappointed. I would NOT recommend at all. No volume to add to my lashes due to the little amount that came out.

Best mascara out there, in my opinion. Have been using it for many years and am very happy with it. I like the good value for money and that there is no clumping - I like my lashes individually defined rather than stuck together and thick.
