It works, quality is good
The cap is easy to apply, doesn't fall off, and turns the plunger into a useful storage space. It also makes it more comfortable to push the plunger down. If you don't mind the price, it does what it's supposed to do and seems durable.

Good product
This is a perfect fit, and feels good to press with. Also turns your plunger into a storage compartment for filters. Not sure how great it is for travel, though, since it prevents you from putting your stirrer and scoop in there...

Great for making the Aeropress portable
I don't know why you'd need a "brewing grip", you should buy this for the "travel cap" function. I store grounds in the handle of my Aeropress. I keep it in my backpack and brew my own coffee on campus instead of paying out the nose at an on-campus coffee shop. The cap doesn't feel like it's extremely tight, and yet, it has survived considerable jostling in a backpack full of stuff without spilling, even when I commute by bike or train. This is definitely a viable option to make the Aeropress more portable without having to worry about getting coffee grounds in all your stuff. The scoop included in the Aeropress will not fit in the handle, you'll have to get some sort of different scoop that will fit in the narrow opening of the handle to retrieve your grounds. It holds enough grounds for about 4 shots of espresso (at least how I make it). If your Aeropress didn't come with some sort of travel bag like mine did, I'd recommend getting that as well if you want to be portable, along with a reusable stainless steel filter so you don't have to carry paper ones. With all that, the Aeropress is a great portable coffee making solution. I recommend this cap to anyone looking to use the Aeropress for that purpose.

This is a great addition to the Aeropress but not really needed unless ...
This is a great addition to the Aeropress but not really needed unless you plan on using the Aeropress tube to store extra grounds. I ordered this because I thought it would be a nice addition to give some cushion to my hand when pressing. It does give you extra grip but really was not needed as the Aeropress design is very comfortable for pressing downward. I do feel that if you are traveling and want to take grounds in a small footprint yes this is a great addition. I took off one star because for $10 I feel it is overpriced and not really needed. As I said it does have its benefits for the traveler so don't write it off just because I took off a star :-).

Good gadget
Simple little gadget very useful. I put extra sugars and filters in the plunger and it travels well and keeps everything secure. You could also put extra coffee in and it would keep it secure if not fresh.

Great product, one issue.
When I first got this item I was super excited and thought this should come standard with an AeroPress! I love that I can store things for travel (i.e. take my fresh whole beans to work) without needing an extra container. Great idea!However... after using it a few times I've been disappointed that water sometimes gets between the travel cap and the AeroPress... so I'm not sure it's worth the hassle. Probably worth it, just be careful not to get the top wet (maybe I'm just more clumsy than the rest, but that is easier typed than done). I wouldn't "store" anything in it, but to travel from point A to point B, it should be okay.

Thumbs up!
I'm not crazy about "add on" products that drive up cost of a good product unnecessarily, but this is a good accessory to have when using the AeroPress. It provides a cushioned base as you press down the plunger, making the process much easier. It's easy to attach and can just as easily be removed for rinsing when needed. In addition, if you want to take your AeroPress with you (on the road, to work, etc.), this travel cap allows you to take and store your freshly ground coffee in the unit itself until you're ready to brew! I give it a "thumbs up."
