Best Decaf I've Tried So Far
I'm trying to go back to all decaf, but finding a decaf that just tastes like coffee is turning out to be pretty difficult. I don't know what process this uses to decaffeinate the coffee, but I honestly don't really care at this point. I'm tired of buying a bag of overpriced specialty coffee that uses "Swiss Water Process" or magic unicorn dust or whatever just to have it taste like all the rest.So far, what I've found is ALL of it tasted like it has some sort of dried fruit in it. I just want coffee flavor. I don't like fruity flavors in my coffee (I usually buy dark roasts). Over the last 2 months I've tried several brands of decaf from Amazon as well as several from my local coffee shop (WAY overpriced). They all taste the same and they all suck. It has to be something with the process that causes that taste.I took a chance on this even though its the most expensive decaf I've purchased from Amazon so far. I'm glad I did. It tastes like coffee. Really good coffee. Great espresso, pour-over, and Aeropress. I don't think I can switch out to it exclusively mainly due to cost, but at least I can actually *enjoy* an after dinner coffee or two without staying up all night. Its not as good as my regular (Mayorga Muy Macho or now I really like Mayorga Winter Blend), but it is certainly good enough that I would switch completely if it was a bit more affordable. BTW, as much as I love Mayorga's dark roasts, their decaf tastes like all the others - very disappointing.

LOVE THIS COFFEE!!!
This is my favorite espresso and my favorite brand of coffee! And now it's on Subscribe & Save for an awesome price! I hope it stays that way! This is cheaper than I can get it at my local supermarket actually. I live in the Denver metro area so this is a local product for me. It's very dark, rich, chocolatey and sublime. I really don't like the new fad in coffee where everything is super "bright" and "fruity" and the beans are very lightly roasted and look really light tan. No. This is the good stuff IMO. It's better than Starbucks espresso for sure, although if you like Starbucks I think you'll like this too. I was actually buying Starbucks espresso at my grocery store cause it is SO cheap and good enough, like it was half as much per pound as the Dazbog. But for this price on S&S I will buy this for the rest of my life -- it's totally worth it! I've even been to the roasting site and have a Dazbog t-shirt! Their French roast is awesome too, and so is their SWP decaf French roast if you want coffee later in the evening. Make affogato with this, it's sublime. The pic is a shot I just pulled with my relatively inexpensive and not the best quality machine, and it's still amazing! Seriously give this a try, especially at the Jan 2019 price! I grind my shots fresh every time, of course, and I make French press and pour over sometimes too, with the espresso or French roast or decaf Babushka blend. But this is my staple roast from my staple roaster. Cheers!

Very tasty coffee
I generally use a French Press for my coffee, but have several other methods I play with on a whim. I have tried other roasts from Dazbog, but settled on the French Roast as my standard go to. The only issue I have is that because I don't live anywhere near the source or manufacturer, I order through Amazon and I can't find where Dazbog Organic French Roast is offered through them. Because of this, I have a relative purchase from a local store in their area and ship to me. I also use this coffee for receptions for art exhibits and opera intermissions and it is very well received by that audience. This is my standard coffee, but I recommend trying other roasts from this company ... the ones I have tried all were good for a varying palette.

With a name like Svoboda, how can it not be good?
The story goes like this- My brother’s Friend started to date a new girl. She was in Denver and brought back the friend Svoboda Coffee without even knowing that his friend’s last name was Svoboda. So naturally my brother mailed me some. Now I can’t stop sending it to people! It’s so incredibly good and not just because of the name...I swear!I bought the whole beans, they are nice and glossy, flavorful and smooth. I feel like I’m drinking coffee right at a coffee shop.I’ve never been to Denver but you can bet when I do go- this coffee shop will be my first stop! For those curious...Svoboda means Freedom in Russian.

Great Starbucks Mocha Substitute. Rich, Low-Acidity Coffee.
In our hunt for good coffees to replace our Starbucks coffee, my wife and I have worked through the Dazbog line. This is our favorite so far.I make a cup by using 2 level tablespoons of beans per 6 ounces of water ground to a fine consistency. My filter is a Rishi Brew Basket which is the generic version of the MSR Mugmate Coffee/Tea Filter . I pour near boiling water through the grounds to fill up the cup and immerse the filter & grounds. I let it steep like that for a minute or two before removing the filter.Tasting notes: Rich, full-bodied flavor. Remarkably low acidity--I don't get that lingering acid-burning feeling in my esophagus like I do with a lot of coffees. A smooth, strong coffee flavor lingers on the palate. Very strong notes of unsweetend cocoa. The Rishi filter allows extremely fine particles through (the consistency of cocoa powder). This texture, combined with the taste and smell of cocoa, leads to us agreeing that it's very reminiscent of an unsweetened mocha drink.
