Great for vehicles without built-in Entertainment
We purchased these after upgrading our vehicle and deciding to save more on the price by not purchasing the vehicle with the built in entertainment package. These are great quality for the price! We have one installed for our 7 yr old and one for our 3 year old. We used them on a 13 hour drive and didn't have a single issue. They both had their own DVD player which is a godsend! My 7 yr old mainly played the games that came with the system. He loved that aspect. The games aren't the best quality but the 7 yr old didn't care there. My 3 yr old used it for just videos. We did find a few DVD's that won't play in the player. Nothing tied to a specific brand (Up won't play but we watched Frozen without issue). They were very simple to install however, they were a VERY tight fit on our Traverse headrests. There was a moment there where I really wasn't sure they would install. I love that I can take the screens out to limit the "TV" time in the car too. I did purchase a power outlet splitter at the time so that both can be plugged in. Overall we're very happy with the system and would recommend them!

Didn't need to buy the separate 12v chargers
The screen mounts are a good design (allows the headrests to move freely and you don't have to remove the headrest at all for installation) The screens look good, however, the headphones feel cheap and take batteries(i would prefer wires for long trips)I was prompted to buy the car 12v charger separately as it stated that it didn't come with the screens but it did. Both boxes came with their own separate car chargers and remote controls and headphones...and a cd/dvd (?), that looks like some kinda game, that doesn't work. I thought it was broken as this was the first disc i tried but i tried my own DVD and it worked. Decent picture but the built in speakers are a joke. Would recommend having your own headphones and an extension/splitter for your 12v cigarette lighter(my car already had 3 cig lighters in the back which made my installation simple.I received a refund for the extra 12v splitter. After a 3,000 mile road trip they worked well. The only thing i wish it was quieter since it was right behind my head it's hard to ignore the whirring sound most dvd players make. Thankfully my daughter used her own headphones and i was able to turn up my radio to drown out the sound.

Excellent Screens!
These are so Awesome! I took a few minutes and did a clean install with no visible wiring! They look great and work great! I got a 128gb USB thumb drive and ripped all my kids movies to xvid avi files so now they have like 75 movies with no disks to carry or worry about and best of all it picks right back up in the same spot of the movie when you restart the car. I've had 3 sets of actual headrest dvd players and now these, I'm much happier with these and wish I would have bought these first!!

I purchased another dvd players from best buy and added 3 year accidental warranty for $239 ...
I never write reviews, but I had to write about this one to prevent other people from wasting their money.Headphone stopped working after two weeks, so I purchased a wired set. After 3 months, unit A didn't have any sound 1 out of 3 times at least.Once in awhile, it won't even read discs. I had to repeat turning it on and off several times to make it works. A lot of times, this didn't even help. After 4 months, unit A doesn't have any sound.Unit B couldn't read discs anymore. It says ERR DISC and never works.I purchased another dvd players from best buy and added 3 year accidental warranty for $239 which is still lower price than this item. Now, my 90 days money back warranty from credit card company has expired and of course Amazon is not going to help after 4 months. Please, please don't waste your money and look for something else.

Nice product overall ...
Reviewing: "XTRONS 2x 10.1 Inch Twins HD Digital Screen Car Headrest DVD PlayerUltra-thin Detachable Touch Button HDMI Port with One Pair of Children IR Headphones(Blue&Pink)"I have owned this product since Jan 2016 and overall, it is a nice product. Here are a some random thoughts to hopefully help you decide ...Shipping (Seller=Xtrons): Incredibly fast. Considering that my order was being shipped from Asia, I was shocked to receive it in 4 days! Was shipped via DHL and required a signature upon delivery.Packaging: I received 2 separate packages (each unit came in its own shipping box) but both arrived at the same time. Not that it matters but know that "twin" does not imply units paired up in some kind of single "combo" set. It just means you get 2 separate units. Inside each shipping box was the product, also boxed up. Packaging was solid.Size/Dimensions: Diagonally, the LCD screen does measure 10.1 inches as advertised. Factoring in the edge around the screen, The unit measures 11 3/4 in diameter and is 6 5/8 inches top-to-bottom. Front to back it measures 1.5 inches thick. Mounted, the face of the unit stick out about 2 inches from the back of my headrest. So not bulky at all -but if you are expecting the profile of a 10.1 inch Tablet, you will be disappointed.User Manual: Simply put, it is useless. It is written in Chinglish and is terribly bare bones. Installing and operating the unit is not difficult. However, if you happen to be someone who generally depends on a manual to install/operate most of your consumer electronics, know that there is a LOT that the manual will not tell you. Certainly enough if you have a decent understanding (of how such players install and work) to fill in the gaps via exploration.Installation: The players are pretty easy to install. Once i figured out which part went where, I had both units mounted and wired in about 30 mins. One thing i love quite a bit is the fact that there is only a single (fairly thin) cable running out of each unit. Power, video and audio are all carried by this single cable so no tangled mess running to/from my headrest. Very clean!Powering the Unit: Each comes with 1 cigarette lighter plug. Each plug has a 3.15A fuse. The unit also comes with separate wires (already integrated into the harness to which the player connect) for hard/direct wiring. To power both monitors, I chose to connect this wiring fromboth units (in parallel of course) to the wiring of an extra (also 3.5A fused) cigarette power plug i had laying around. By doing that, I was able to power both units via a single cigarette lighter plug and outlet. Was worried that both units operating together might draw enough current to blow the single 3.15A fuse but that has not happened in the 5 months (since Jan 2016) that i have had this setup. Since the risk is all yours (not mine!), you don't have to be as experimental as i am. You could just buy an outlet splitter.Remote Controls: Since the remote control which comes with this product doubles as a game controller, it is crowded with tiny buttons. It takes a little hunting to find the right botton but my kids (6 and 10 yrs old) are getting used to it. The option to order a simpler remote for primary function control would be nice. The twin unit i owned prior to this (different manufacture) also came with 2 remotes. However, each remote controlled one of the units and not the other. The Remotes provided with this XTRON set operate both units. Great if you ever lose one. However, not so great when little sister gets upset because little brother (sitting so close) keeps accidentally controlling both units.DVD Access: This is in the back of the unit. You have to flip the unit down to get to it. Not exactly a design which scores high in terms of usability (especially if you have a 5 yr old like I do) but it works. The more noticeable challenge arises after you open the DVD door and try to unload a DVD. The disk has to be pried up (by hand) from a recessed disk "pit" but there is very little room provided around the disk to fit a human finger. If you plan to switch disks frequently, expect a little trouble with this -or grow finger nails. I have most of my kid's movies loaded to SD so our need to get disks in/out is infrequent.DVD Playback: Works well. No skips.USB and SD Media Playback: It works. However, I was initially unable to play movies (MP4s) loaded via USB/SD. Unit just sat there with "Initializing" on the display forever. After contacting XTRON, I learned that the resolution of any video loaded via USB/SD cannot be greater than 720*480. For a unit advertised as having 1024*600 resolution ? Anyway, after converting my files, it works.HDMI: Haven't needed/tried this yet.Audio Over FM: Works but it is just not clear/good enough. All the FM channels we have tried seem to encounter static/noise as we drive around so we really don't use it. Could be because I live in a metro area so you might get luckier.DVD Movie Resume: Yes, the players "remember" where you left off after you have turned them off.Watching Same Movie: Yes, both players can play/show the same movie. If you follow the A/V wiring instuctions provided with the unit, one of the players will serve as the dedicated master -whenever you want to play the same movie to both players. I connected mine slightly differently (each units AV output connected to the other's AV input) so either unit can be master. Either of my kids just selects whenever they want the watch whatever the other one is watching.Games: Like others have noted, the games are "old school" type games. Most kids accustomed to the graphics and navigation of modern games (3DS, Angry birds, Xbox, etc) will be bored. Maybe yours will find the "throw back" interesting but I would not but this product for the gaming function.Customer Service (Seller=Xtrons): Outstanding ! One of the units i received worked differently (some soft key option were missing) and was clearly from a different SW build. Contacted the Seller and they immediately shipped me a replacement. In May (4 months after receiving my product), one of the IR headphones quit working. Again reached out to the seller expecting them to tell me it was past 30 days -but nope. They quickly offered to send me a replacement. The main customer service person seems to be someone named Diana and she is VERY responsive and helpful.Durability/Reliability: Time will tell. So far (review date: June 1, 2016), the IR headphone is the only thing which suddenly stopped working but as noted, the seller shipped me a replacement. I will be sure to post updates as needed.July 2018 Update:Well, one of my units died this month. No longer powers on. So lasted about 2.5 years. I contacted XTRONS to see if they would sell me a discounted replacement -but no dice. And to get the unit repaired, it would cost $40 "inspection fee" plus some amount they just could not tell me. Overall customer service experience was terrible this time. It was a headache getting a response and exact answers from XTRONS.I ended up looking around and found the EXACT SAME product (but without XTRONS branding) at that other online retail giant. Paid close to 50% less than than a single (new) XTRONS unit is listed for. So consider shopping around before you buy. Do a search for "10.1 Inch Ultra-thin Car Headrest DVD Player" and see what your options are.Lowered my review to 3 stars.

Quiet kids
Excellent product. Instruction book is next to useless which is y 4 stars. Great pic quality. Both can play independent or 1 as a monitor of the other. Cables supplied are more than long enough. If I didn't have the rear seat cigarette lighter might be a bit of a pest getting the cables from the front. Pic quality is excellent, sound is good and the wireless headphones are ideal for when they want to watch different dvds. Comes with free games but my kids are too young so haven't tried that part out. Would definitely recommend this product. Attachment to headrest is excellent. Only downside is the dvd player has no battery so when the engine is off the dvd stops and you have to turn back on. Aftersales is poor, asked a question and email back was poor, I wouldn't of asked a question if I understood user manual so just had to go for cuppa and then come back to it. The manual does not cover the actual dvd functions just the cables which on 1St inspection I thought were for when wiring directly into the battery, hence the email to aftersales. Overall fantastic product and delivery was next day. Product arrived before the money came out the bank
