I wanted the traditional one that everyone was talking about in the reviews unfortunately they sent me something made out of plastic! Not worth the amount of money I paid for at all. Do not buy

This is an actual Batoola or Burqa from the Arab Gulf countries. The batoola fabric is imported from India (its an expensive fabric) and then it is dyed with either blue or purple ink. Then it is rubbed with a glass ball until it gets shiny. They have made them like this for a long time and the ink stains are part of wearing batoola or Emirati Burqa. After wearing it for awhile, it stops. If you don't want this issue take it out of the package with a cloth and wipe very very well until the ink is not appearing. Many women like the ink stain, it can look good in the right cultural context. Just make sure you aware that the ink is part of it.It is a real batoula. They are not large anymore. They do not cover the whole face, except in the very southern Emirates and possibly Saudi Arabia. Originally they used to cover the whole face, but for some reason they keep shrinking...???...It is good to have and the price is worth it.

If I could give it -5 stars, I would. When I opened it initially, it was fine, looked nice. When I put it on my face, it left purple, ink-like blotches on my face and all over my hands. I tried wiping it off but more and more kept coming off of the middle/stick part of the mask.

I have been wanting to sew my own Batoola for many years just as Bedouin and Gulf women have traditionally done. I found purchasing an actual Batoola would save a lot of guesswork. The one I received looks exactly like the one photographed and appears to made by handcrafted, not factory made. It is is not a mass produced product, so if you are looking for that you might be disappointed. The 4 stars is because it was what I wanted -- an original.

While I loved the Batoola itself....wearing it turned into a bit of a nightmare- as one other reviewer wrote- when I removed the Batoola I had purple spots all over my face and especially my nose which was very hard to remove despite using numerous makeup removers and soap and water. (Dish soap actually worked in removing all spots completely!!!) It arrives folded and looks smaller than it actually is. Tying it can be a bit of a challenge until you figure out how to use the loop and create the right amount of tension. I liked the product a lot....but I can't give it more than 3 stars because of the whole purple situation.

I just liked it because it ran Ink. on your face if it got the slightest bit wet.

terrible, baby toddler or doll size. Does not cover Adult face. No good

Poorly made and cheap materials used . Definitely not worth the price!!
