KitchenAid Apple Slicer and Corer, Red

Excellent addition to all kitchens. We had one of these in our kitchen drawer for years I thought it was for grapefruit and never used it. Friend came over grabbed it and sectioned a pear in a blink of an eye. WOW how easy to use. With fruit trees in the yards we had to get one for both houses. So now we can have fresh pears, apples, Asian pears all day with ease.Center the middle hole over the stem, securely press down and BAM! fruit sections you can hand out like candy to the kids. Once done rinse well or drop into dishwasher. We have been using these now for a few years, blades seem as sharp as the first day and the frame (handles) are heavy duty and easy to grip.Only wish would to have them peel at the same time, but we can't have everything.

This is an excellent product. Easy to use and cuts apples with ease. Love the product. Happy consumer!

This does a pretty good job--could be sharper tho--little on the dull side--won't bother to return--------------

Sturdy and well made. Works on big apples. Purchased another brand at the store and it is both smaller and has started to rust - time to throw away and replace with this one. Like it so much bought one for work, one for home and one for a friend.

I've had one of these for years, and aside from developing a single crack which has not affected its function, this fruit slicer is so nearly perfect that I ordered a second one so that I could permanently store the first with my camping gear. For those who are wondering, the slicing part has a diameter of 4.25 inches (about 10.79 cm), and can accommodate an apple that is very slightly smaller. For safety and ease of slicing, I recommend that you place the apple stem side down on a cutting board. Even asymmetrical apples cut neatly in this position! So why only four stars? Well, plastic does tend to develop fatigue over time (hence the crack), and the slicer, though larger than others I have seen, will not accommodate the freakishly enormous honeycrisp apples my local greengrocer carries once a season. The normal honeycrisp apples fit well, so I must content myself with those!

Have had several they work very well for anything u need to cut into 8 slices

I ordered all the gadgets to use in red to match my Candy Apple Red color portable electric appliances in my RV since I reside full time in a RV & have it decorated like a home. I am prud to take these items to all the dinners I now attend & get many compliments. It seems many of my senior friends are wanting to do as I am doing!! U keep telling them, we can be old & still enjoy beauty in our kitchens!!! Just on a smaller scale!!

We love these so much we own 3. One for the kitchen and one each for my husband and myself to take in our work lunchboxes.

Lo compré porque a mi esposo le gusta comer trozos de manzana, por eso lo compré especialmente para él.Ahora yo también he estado comiendo más manzana.Es muy práctico, útil, fácil de lavar, descorazona la manzana muy fácilmente al mismo tiempo que corta los gajos.Me gustó muchíisimo.

Es muy práctico y fácil de usar. El material es resistente.
