Only Buy the "Heavy Duty" Slat option.
I purchased the heavy duty slats from Amazon warehouse deals, and they're awesome. They fit my Zinus queen upholstered bed, perfectly, without any cutting or adjustments, and they are a great size, strength, and have a gap that's less than 3", so they are a great foundation for my 100% latex mattress. I think most of the bad reviews may be for the standard strength size, because the heavy duty boards have no issues that I notice; I didn't even need to sand them down, as the boards themselves are quite smooth, and because the weight of my mattress, I haven't had any problems with the boards moving or sliding around. I would definitely purchase them again without hesitation.

As you can see in the photos, five slats ...
As you can see in the photos, five slats were too wide and some too short. Why is it impossible to cut these pieces of wood the same length? For the price you're paying for slats which are attached and should roll onto your bed frame, the width must be uniform. My experience was five slats were more than 53" wide and required help from someone in measuring and cutting the five slats which were too wide. Were the other slats the right width (53")? No. Some were very tight and had to be put in almost sideways, while others were short and wobbly.Save your money - go to a local store and have them cut slats 53" wide. They will be accurate, the total will be cheaper, and you'll save a lot of time.

It works, but........
Shipping was good and the slats work good for a queen size bed. The wooden slats are poor quality and have splinters and rough cuts that your mattress or box spring can snag on. I think it would have been better to go to Home Depot and bought the slats precut to length and stapled the cloth strips on myself. Next time I will do just that.

It did the job beautifully
Excellent! Very high quality product. I got the heavy duty Queen size and put it between my old boxsprings and mattress. The wooden slats are substantial and not thin, that have been sanded smooth on all sides without any cracks or splinters or knots and are very clean, with each slat mounted on heavy duty straps so that they spread out perfectly spaced apart with just a small gap in-between each slat. It did the job beautifully - no more saggy bed - and a much simpler and cheaper option than buying a brand new mattress set. And it doesn't creak when moving around on the mattress. Highly recommend this to anyone who needs more support.

Item Not as specified
Item is not as specified. The Queen size measurement is for a child's queen size bed. Item was at best 3-4 inches shorter in width. Amazon issued me a credit for $43.61 when I paid $60.57. When I called to inquire I was advised that I had to pay the return shipping. I said I disagree as the item was NOT as specified. My call taker did not speak clear English and didn't understand how to relay the deficit. 3 times I requested to be transfered to someone who spoke clearer English and could explain to me why I was not entitled to a full refund. After the 3rd no transfer attempt my call rep offered me my full refund. He tried to resolve the situat ion as best he could and so did i. So, we'll see what happens. This was my first time ordering a very large item for fear of return costs. I think I'll stick to ordering cat food and potato chips!

Well-made, solid. Minor issues with slat length
I was nervous about these because of all the negative reviews. After all is said & done, I have to say I'm reasonably satisfied. Let's get slat size out of the way first of all, because one of the reviews I read said they were very small (1/2"x1/2") but that wasn't the case with mine. I got the "Heavy Duty" one, and the slats were 3-1/4"x1/2", as shown in the product page. They were all pretty straight with very little bowing or warping. The webbing connecting them all is nice & heavy and the slats are evenly spaced through the length. Then why am I only "reasonably satisfied"? It partly to do with the design of my bed frame & partly to do with the bunkie board. My frame is wooden, with wooden rails scarcely 1" wide. That doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for off-sized slats. These slats (queen size) were around 59-3/4", give or take maybe a quarter. That quarter meant that on some of the slats, positioning on the rails was critical. If I allowed them to rest against one edge, they could fall off the rail on the opposite side. I was forced to shim the spaces between the slats and the frame in order to make sure that didn't happen. But if you have nice wide rails, that wouldn't be a problem for you. If the slats had been a smidge longer, I might have ended up cutting some, which would have been even more of a hassle. So the bottom line is: seem well constructed, the wood seems strong, the slats are pretty true. Just make sure your frame can deal with the minor variations in length. If you have nice, wide metal rails on your frame, you'll probably have no problem at all. Skinny little wooden rails like mine (what were they thinking? maybe i should be giving the bed frame 3 stars instead of the bunkie board!) then measure carefully before ordering.

High Quality
After reading a lot of reviews, I figured I would take a chance on this product, because come on, how bad could bed slats possibly be. I went with the upgraded option, they were $10 less then the standard slats, and nicer. I have no idea why this product gets bad reviews. Unless they have changed their process, and improved everything. I have absolutely no complaints about this product. They're bed slats, they did exactly what I bought them to do. Check out the pictures below, and don't hesitate to order this item.

This is not the full bed just the wood slats!!!!
The way this add came across it looked like the full frame and headboard not just the wood slats. I was looking at other bed and this came up as a similar item for similar price. My fault for not reading the whole thing. Wood slats are not straight and a few of the pieces were splintered and cracked.

Comfortable, sturdy, and exactly the size that they say they are.
These slats are perfect. I'm a very heavy person, and I've been sleeping on them for 4 months now. They are sturdy, they don't creak, and they fit my queen size bed frame perfectly.

Great Slats but.....
These are no big box store slats, these are sturdy and will take a beating. These are as described; pine and handcrafted. I only have one complaint, I ordered the full size and had to cut three-quarters of an inch off of the slats. This wasn't a problem for me but, what if someone didn't have the proper space or tools to do so.

Great value
My son needed slats to replace a terrible piece of wood that wasn’t cutting it on his bed. These were relatively easy to install (husband had to cut the down slightly as they were too long for this specific bed) but they are standing up to preteen shenanigans. Price was lowest we could find and do the trick!
