Good first book in the series
I read the first series and moved straight to this series. This story was probably a little stronger than the third book in the first series, but I've enjoyed all of them. I suppose that's why I'm writing this review at 3:00 a.m..

M.P. McDonald has written the best Post-APOCALYPTIC Novel EVER!!!
Wasn't sure I'd get into it very far when people were dying in droves, but I'm so glad I stayed with it.Excellent cast of characters. Great backstories. Humor and pathos! Can't wait for the next book!

Another great Sympatico Syndrome book
As well written as M.P.'s other books. And there's more to come. Hopefully quite a few.But I wonder if Ethan is actually the only person so far who is immune to the virus.

Nice read
Interesting and so far unlike most post apocalyptic books, it isn't all about gun types and killing. It's about surviving in a post apocalyptic world.

Wonderful "family"
This is a great book, I am enjoying the characters very much. Sometimes family is what you make it, and they have created their own. Smart and resourceful, they're a great group.

Well done, not over the top.
First off the character of Noah is very likeable, which helps move the story along. The side characters are real enough to give it some depth. The violence, and other aspects are uses sparingly--its really more of a character vs. environment type novel at least so far. It's a bit slower pace than some Dystopian stuff, but the author doesn't turn survivors into instant cannibal biker gang rapists--so I view that as a big plus. The story is entertaining if you enjoy this genre, not mind blowing, but I found it to be a solid read. You get a decent amount of closure if you don't feel like reading on, another thing I appreciate in a book. I do plan on reading the next book, so it entertained me enough to continue on to see what this rag-tag band of survivors does next in a world decimated by a virus.

Really liked it
Truly enjoyed the writing, characters, and imagery of this tale. Ethan is a boss! Would have rated it higher except for the fact that it felt like just the beginning and middle of a great story.

Good solid read. Well written and enjoyable.
Steady action and good solid writing. An interesting parallel with an expected intersecting ending with a nice lead in to the next book.
