bumGenius Littles 2.0 Newborn Cloth Diaper 100% Cotton Inner - Fits Newborns Up to 12 Pounds (Fearless)

These are super cute and have a much slimmer fit than regular cloth diapers, which is nice on a newborn. The problem is... they don't work. I have been using these part time (I bought 4) on a 7.5 lb 2-week old, and they're just not absorbent enough. She has overflowed her diaper and soaked through her clothes 5-6 times in the last week, always when she had a bumgenius littles on. Also, they shrank after the first wash, and at 8 lbs, she is almost too big for them (they are advertised to fit 8-12 lbs). I washed on warm and tumble dried extra low heat, with all my other diapers, and these are the only ones that seem to have shrunk. I loved these when I got them, but now I'm not real happy with my $80 investment. (By the way, right now I'm having the best success with thirsties duo wrap covers and bamboo inserts, even though they're less cute)

Haven't used this yet since baby is not here but it looks great. It even came with an extra booster to use once baby starts qetting more. My only con is that it's pretty tiny. It's much smaller in the waist than the bumgenius littles velcro version. I'm prone to having big babies (all 3 children were 9 to 10lbs) so I'm afraid the next baby won't be able to wear it for very long

This was good for my newborn initially, but after a while, the inside fabric got a little hard. It ended up not being as absorbent as I would have liked after a few washes. The Fit was nice and slim though.

Love these! Makes cloth diapering VERY easy. Very happy with the additional inserts for extra absorbancy. Baby was born at 7lbs, weighs 10lbs now and the diapers still have some room for him to grow.

I absolutely love bumgenius. If you are going to splurge on newborn sized diapers these are brilliant

Love this all in one for our newborn. Easy to use, easy to wash. Took about 24 hrs to air dry in our house.

It works great for my new born. Sizing is great and also super absorbent. Haven’t had any leak issue with this one. I would definitely recommend this for a newborn.

First time cloth diaper user. Wanted to love these but had issues with them.Pros:-Very easy to put on- as easy as disposables-Adorable and much nicer to see poking out of clothing than disposables-Not bulky at all- even less so than disposables in our experience-Held poop in very well- not one blow out with them-Fit well around legs-Great for staying under umbilical stump at first-Doubler is easier to use than a pocket insert and is very soft-Looked brand new on outside after weeks of use-Dryer seemed to have no negative effect on elastic after weeks of useCons:-Did not contain pee well at all- often the clothes would get wet with pee even if we had just changed the diaper an hour ago. Pee seemed to slip out everywhere, both from the leg holes and from the top on the front and back.-Could only wear them several weeks before outgrowing, though outgrew absorbency much sooner (even tried folding insert in half and placing where absorbency was most needed but this did not work)-Even with spraying them right away with a diaper sprayer they stained fairly easily-Took 3 dryer cycles to completely dry (the inserts dry faster)-Took several hours to dry outside even in the sunFor reference: we started using these when baby was one week old and 6.5 pounds and we were already on the second snap.We stopped using them at 8 weeks old and 10.5 pounds and we had just reached the last snap. We could have kept using them a little longer but at our 2 month well visit the pediatrician said they were too short since they sat on the hips rather than above them which restricts hip movement.Ultimately I wanted to love these diapers and I’m not sorry that we used them because I do hate the idea of going through hundreds of disposables, but I wouldn’t buy them again. They shouldn’t have leaked as often as they did and we should have been able to use them until baby was 12 pounds (as per the product description) without them restricting hip movement.
