Great for the cost
As others mention the trackball doesn’t coast after a fast motion like other trackballs you are used to in the arcade, but for the cost it can’t be beat. It’s honestly a 5 star for being less than 20 dollars. I have been using it with a raspberry pi 4 and different emulators without issue so far. (Mame 2003, 2010, and 2016 so far).Make sure you buy the correct adapter. It must be an active PS2/USB adapter. I’m using Monoprice PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse to USB Converter Adapter.

Worked great for my arcade 1up
I bought this for an arcade 1up mod I’m doing. Fit great and works for what I need it for. I use it for centipede and other games that use the trackball. Tested and works great. I don’t play these kind of games often so just needed something that would work and for the price this is good. If you are looking for arcade quality feel this is not it. The ball doesn’t spin forever when you do a big spin it’s a little tight. I only use the trackball feature I did not use the button feature it comes with.

Some extra things that you should know
1) The adapterAfter receiving this trackball I ordered a simple, one piece, PS2(female) to USB-A (male) adapter. It didn't work.I then got an adapter that does both PS2 keyboard and mouse with a few inch-long cord in the middle. This one worked perfectly.2) LED colors:The ball lights up green. There are 2 green LEDs and 2 red LEDs under the ball. It lights up green normally unless you press one of the "mouse buttons" (left click/center click/right click), in which case the red LEDs under the ball light up.3) Button Wires:The seller doesn't address the individual wires with spade connectors that are attached to the trackball, but they are for left, right and center mouse clicks. The black wires are ground and all you do is put a momentary contact button between one of the other wires and ground to get that click. So in my case, I'm using this for an arcade game cabinet, so I'll install the trackball between my controllers and install 3 buttons directly above them. The quality is ok, the accuracy of the trackball navigation seems pretty precise. Not sure how well it'll stand up, but if it breaks soon, I'll post here.

Not too bad for the price
Granted this was the cheapest "arcade" trackball I could find, and I also wanted one with a chance of fitting my available space (some others are huge.)USB would have been nice, but I bought a PS2 to USB mouse adapter, which works fine.In addition to the PS2 cable, it has 4 wires: White & Yellow are for its two button-inputs (like L & R click on a mouse).Red and Black are 5V power for lights and for the button switches.BEWARE: Red is GROUND and Black is +5V!! (at least on mine. No guarantees yours will be the same.)Wire the buttons between White and Black and between Yellow and Black (5v).There were several bare lugs on these wires - nice, but be sure to insulate the ones you're not using before plugging this in.As for the trackball itself - it's usable, but I have had the cursor "snag" once in a while, where I had to move the ball more to get it moving again. Not often though. A larger heavier ball would have nicer inertia, but then I wouldn't have had room for it.It's a clear ball that lights up green, except if you hook up buttons - if so, the ball changes to red when buttons are clicked. I won't be using the button inputs.Overall, not too bad, and way less expensive than many that are 5x this price.

Inexpensive light-duty trackball meets expectations
This particular PS/2 trackball is sold under a lot of different names. I bought this one because it was the cheapest at the time.It was easy to connect, and worked without issues hooked up directly to a PS/2 port, as well as using a Monoprice PS/2-to-USB adapter. For the price, don't expect heavy duty build quality, but I think this will do quite nicely for the very occasional trackball game of Centipede or Missile Command or what-have-you. I wanted a trackball, but wouldn't play those games frequently enough to me to justify spending much more on one.

Pretty good for the price.
It doesn't roll forever like you would like but add a little silicone lubricant and it's well worth the money. I'm really happy with it.
