Great mood lights
For the money, these lights have impressed me. They've been in place for 10 months in South Texas and so far so good. You can break them down to the battery level very easily and because the lens and the fact it's 3.2 volts, they are pretty bright. Don't think you're going light up the walkway and read beneath them but they're a great mood light.I had 2 issues with them. About 3 months after purchase I noticed moisture in the form of condensation inside the clear plastic covering the solar cell. I contacted the company and they assured me that if it became a problem and the light was not working that they would replace it.The second issue came after 9 months. I have 12 of these lights on a bridge and after a full day of sun they'll stay nicely lit for around 4 hours then begin to slowly dim over a couple more hours. I noticed one of the 12 was dimming much quicker than the others and after some troubleshooting of swapping batteries I determined it was a battery problem. I was looking for battery replacement online and contacted the company to ask if they sold replacement batteries. They don't sell batteries but they did send me a replacement light. Apparently this battery was dying prematurely. Needless to say I was a happy camper. 5 stars for backing up their product. The next 2 months are the true acid test in the hot Texas sun..July and August.Update -2 1/2 years laterBatteries don’t last forever so I replaced them on all 12. Exact battery replacement is not say to find but I finally did find some on EBay.After replacing all the batteries I turned the lights off with internal switch and let them charge for 2 days in the sun. On the second night turned them all back on and only one came on half dim. Some quick troubleshooting indicated that because I’ve never used the on-off switch it had oxidized and wasn’t making good connection. That’s to be expected on any type of unprotected switch. I dropped some circuit de-oxidizer in each switch and rapidly switched on and off to clean the contacts. I got them to work but they were flaky. A tap or just snapping the top back on the lamp would cause it to go out. The fix was to go in bypass the switch so they’re always on. Light sensor still works so they only come on at night. Now they’re back to full brightness every night. The fact that I could break it down and get to the switch is testament to the fact that although these are not expensive lights I appreciate being able to modify and get another couple of years out of them. The clear top does yellow and frost over but so does my Lexus headlights. I sanded them using the same process and restoring headlights. 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 grit wet sand and shoot them with clear coat and they’re clear. Still yellow-ish but clear.

Very Satisfied
I followed the directions and let them soak up sunshine for two days, to get fully charged, before turning them on. They function perfectly, ome on at dusk and off at dawn. They stay at the same brightness. They are not super bright, but they put out a nice decorative glow. Pay attention to the size and understand that they are not large lanterns. The photo shows the base, which is the size of the fence post top, which is 3 1/2" X 3 1/2" inches.

Look nice, decent lighting, decent battery life; Base is a bit oversized for 4x4 posts
These light fixtures are very easy to install, but note that the bases are a bit oversized for a standard 4x4 post. If you are a stickler for such details, you may not like these fixtures. We started with white fixtures (night picture) and recently changed to black fixtures (day picture) because we refinished the deck. However, the white and black are identical in features and functions. The white fixtures were used for about 2 1/2 years (3 winters.) Michigan winters can be harsh on the batteries, but only 2 of 7 showed signs of charging issues.Keep in mind that these are simple solar fixtures. In summer (shorter nights, typically more sunshine), if in the sunlight for the day, they will still have a bit if light/life left after 6 hours of running. In winter (shorter days, typically less sunshine) or summer overcast days, the lights will only last 2-3 hours. If you are expecting these to perform as consistently as hard-wired electric lights, you will be disappointed. Also know that you should occasionally clean the plexiglass covering the solar panels. It will weather, and less sunlight hitting the solar panel will cause shorter runtimes for the lights.

4 sets all 4 years old and still going strong!
I’ve had these Solar post lights for 4 years now and I can’t believe they are still going strongon the original batteries! I bought 4 sets and all of them are working great! They stay lit about 6 hours once they turn on at dusk and just have such a nice glow. Definitely got my money’s worth and they really look great in my yard. Highly recommend these!

Incredible product and truly an exceptional company!
This product is hands down the best solar lighting you will find on the market for fence posts, walkways, porches/decks or in my case garden beds. We’ve tried multiple solar lighting products for our garden and none have compared to KMC in such categories as light strength, visual appeal and even customer service in the back end. We bought four of these, one for each corner of our garden bed, and couldn’t be more pleased. One of the lights exhibited a small leak noticed after the first rain storm which cause the top compartment above the solar panel to fog (light still worked but not sure how long it would continue at an effective level). I reached out to the seller and within an hour had a response asking for my address for a replacement. Five days later the replacement has arrived, unbelievable!I will be using strictly KMC products for the rest of my landscape needs during our remodel! Thanks again!

Bright light and easy to install
Great solar light system. I bought 6 lambs and 1 does not seem to work. I then contact the seller and they sent 2 replacement lambs without question. I really like the product. Gorgeous look and bright even the location for these post lights are not direct from the Sun. Washington State is not a state with lots of Sun but these light work very good. Happy with the products and would recommend to anyone who live in Wa!

weak light, central bulb breaks easily
Both times I ordered this (then reordered a replacement), it arrived broken in the box. When it is on the light is very weak also.

doesn't fit 4" post
We like the lights but had to install on top of deck rail. Did not fit our 4" posts(too small) The piece that came with it didn't help and it also didn't fit the 6" posts. They are bright and work well. Nice looking just wish it would have fit the post like it was supposed to
