works perfect only with german cars!
Awesome scanner!do all that i need.from stereo to locks and alarms.i'm surprised of the multifunctionality.driving passat b6.also checked on audi tt.works awesome.BUT...if you use it on different cars.not audi or vw.it will do nothing.otherwise,its working only with german vehicles.i tried on mitsubishi and honda,chevy.no action.its only showing the codes.but nit deleting it.Maybe thats why it has a mark VW/Audi.Best option for the german car.i loved it.but for you to decide.

An awesome investment!
This scanner reads codes for SRS and engine that my other universal scan tools will not see. I have a 2000 VW Passat 2.8 v6 and it talks with it without a problem. For VW/Audi owners this is a valuable tool for a fair price. I bought this tool because the dealer wanted $110.00 to scan my vehicle for diagnosing my SRS light on. Don't let the mechanics fool you, get this scanner.

This is a must for older volkswagons and audis
This vgate went above and beyond of what I expected from it. I had a pesky abs and airbag warning on my mk4 Volkswagen jetta. The dealer wanted to charge me $125.00 to "maybe what was wrong with it" but with what this was worth and parts to fix the problem I ended up saving $40 dollars and to top it off I get to keep it! I also have a 2011 jetta se. It handled engine codes great but it couldn't connect to the air bag module. Overall a great buy.

Doesnt work
I was very happy to find this product for the amount of money, but unfortunately thats y its cheap because doesnt work. I drive vw passat 2004 2.8 4motion and all thetimei was teying to connect the scanner would say LINK ERROR. I try itmany times and many ways but doesnt work,so i think this sccaner doesnt fir withmodels 2000 and up! I even try the oil service which in the scanner description says it supports up to 2008 BUT on display will give youthe options up to 2000 yr models. Very disappointed!

Amazing tool
Worth its weight in gold. Cleared the air bag light on my Audi 1998 a4. Very easy and nice case. Would pay 3 times for this if I knew for sure it would work!

Works perfect on my 01 Audi A6 Quattro
Works perfect on my 01 Audi A6 Quattro, 2.7l turbo. Reads and clears all modules on the car with ease. Bought another rand for 3 times the cost that would only read engine codes even though the swore it worked, definitely recommend this scanner

Must have for the vw
Worked great on my 2001 vw tdi; immediately diagnosed an abs light the dealership wouldn't even touch. Before you go to the shop buy this and at least find out what the problem is and save some $$.
