The perfect little clock for rustic style bathroom. It has a faint ticking sound. This is in half bath in bedroom. You cannot hear it from bedroom.

I had been looking a while for a table top clock that had English numbers on it (vs Roman numerals) so my kids could easily tell time too. I also needed it to be a specific height to fit on a shelf we have, and still be big enough to be seen from the couch.When I finally found this, I was excited to order it - specially because I expected more from Rae Dunn.When it came in, I put a new battery, and set the time. Over the course of the next few days I began noticing that the clock would slow down by as much a five minutes, and then speed up at odd times, by as much as 3 minutes. I changed batteries and brand- same thing.After about a week of this, I ordered for a replacement.The replacement came in, I put another new battery in (not the same as before) and it’s been doing the same, exact thing!So my conclusion is; as delightful as this little clock is, it’s useless if it can’t do what it’s supposed to be - tell time.I am now returning both clocks after my long, drawn out experience, and will no longer be purchasing Rae Dunn “electronics” again.

I love the Rae Dunn clocks. Of all the clocks out there, they have a fun, whimsical style from the way they're presented to the style of the hands. They're easy to read and the faces aren't cluttered with decorations. When I ordered the clock that's suspended on the wire base, however, the picture shows it with whimsical, decorative hands. Unfortunately when it arrived, the hands were different. The hands depicted in the picture were straight. I don't know why they made this change or why they didn't update their image to reflect what they really send. So, I returned it. I also didn't realize it would be so large--7 inches or so that's more for a clock on a mantel that you'd want to see across the room versus the desk clock I had in mind. You won't see the dimensions unless you view the extra images. But the first image makes the clock seem much smaller than it really is. It arrived quickly and in good shape. I wish they made it in a smaller size and kept the whimsical hands.

The clock looks nice, seems to be nicely finished - except the legs aren't level. I could not read it from across the room, and because the face is deep set and the clock has a thick border around the front, the numbers are hidden when looking from an angle, making it impossible to view the time. It didn't suit my purpose for it as a shelf clock. It would work fine in a direct view only position such as on a desk. It seemed like a good quality piece other than the unlevel legs. The battery compartment is super tight, but then the battery won't easily fall out. It seems to run super quiet. I returned it since I could not view it on the shelf it was intended for.

The look of this clock is great! Overall we are very pleased with the simple design and functionality of this mantle/desk clock. It is pretty easy to read, although there are no minute marks on this clock face. The only time it is difficult to read is between 8:30 and 9:30. The hour hand completely touches the 9 at around 8:40 or so and by 9:05 it is halfway to 10. However, it corrects itself here and remains until 9:30 and corrects itself after that. Overall, very pleased with this clock.

PROS:- Super cute rae dunn design, I love the square rustic look!- Looks fantastic and it's the perfect size to be able to read from a distance! It was really important for me that it be small enough to look good on a console table, but large and clear enough numbers to read from a distance.CONS:- None really. I suppose if you want a second hand, there is none. Just the hour and minute hand. But that means no annoying ticking, it's completely silent! That's a pro!CONCLUSION: WOULD RECOMMEND

I have collected rae dunn for quite some time and had been searching all over for this clock. Rae dunn pieces can be tough to find online and if you do find them, they are typically listed for two to three times the price of retail. I was so excited to find this clock on Amazon at retail price! Fast shipping even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its the perfect size for my hutch and I love the farmhouse look! Great buy!

Terribly disappointed. Welding is horrible, the base is welded unevenly in the center of the stand and wobbles instead of standing evenly, clock is welded to base and base is welded lopsided, it does make a low ticking sound, the face is not centered in the unit and the clock is welded in an odd position making it only suitable to read if it is on a shelf at eye level. Can’t adjust any of the issue since it’s welded and not adjustable. Too bad because it is cute.

This is a very nice looking clock, albeit a bit on the cheap side, i.e. battery not enclosed, flimsy backing. I still would have given this as a gift because it is attractive, however the time setting dial seemed loose somehow and the clock did not keep good time. The seller is making a refund, no problem that way.
