This is a great laptop. For student or general use there's nothing better. It's lightweight, portable, and the keyboard isn't garbage like many new laptops with those super-flat keys. It boots quickly, loads web-pages well, and is overall a great experience to use.It comes loaded with S-Mode. Log in to your Microsoft account on the laptop. Don't go to Microsoft and log in, actually sign in to the computer using your Microsoft Account. Then, open the Microsoft Store, search for S-Mode and select it in the search, then turn off S-Mode. It'll try to tell you it's a bad idea. Trust me, it's not. Your Windows will convert to either a Home or Pro license depending on what laptop license you ordered.Other than S-Mode, this machine's great and I recommend it.

I purchased two of these for my high school-aged children. So far I have been very impressed. I think it was worth it to spend an extra $100 instead of getting them a $350 budget laptop. After switching it to the standard Windows 10, it still boots up extremely quickly and handles the standard applications that my kids need to use with ease. It's very light. They haven't run out of battery power after a full day's use yet. The screen quality is great and the speakers are plenty loud enough that they can hear everything that they need to (and so can I which means that I'll have to tell them to "turn it down!"). :) It comes with an Intel i3-1005G1 instead of the older i3-8145U. After reading a few reviews, I'm pleased with that upgrade. If you're looking for a solid back-to-school laptop for a high schooler, I would highly recommend this one.

this laptop is okay this constant trouble with camera and this lenova update is giving me a headache.

If you are an experienced computer user I would not recommend this laptop. I purchased this laptop for my granddaughter and installing software on this computer was a very difficult and painful experience.I am a retired software developer with over 30 years of experience configuring computer systems and installing software and I have never encountered problems like I had with this laptop. There in no way to do a software install unless disable that ridiculous S-mode nonsense first.A process that should have taken no more than an hour took a full day of research and false starts. I was almost ready to wipe the entire drive clean and start over with a fresh Windows 10 install which would have taken less time. Once I got everything configured like I required it seems to work as expected. Therefore I don’t recommend purchasing this laptop unless you enjoy having a wasted day.

Not gonna deep dive into the specs and everything but this laptop is well worth the price! I use it on the go a lot and it's perfect for streaming 1080p60 YouTube videos or watching streams with! I even tested some games like WoW Classic on it! Which runs at a solid 60 on low settings even with a 1080p rendering setting (I bought a monitor for that as this laptop is not 1080p) Super good laptop for the price!

I ordered a Lenovo ideapad S340 15.6" HD LED Backlit since my husband doesn’t have good eyesight and needs to see the keyboard..., that is why when I saw the description stating backlit, I was happy to order it for him. When it arrived , my husband wanted to set it up, he had a hard time with the keys and I couldn't find a backlit to turn on. I didn't want a touchscreen for him, it's just too sensitive if your not use to it..There are couple others in same blue color (different prices) that has a touch screen. I wonder if the person just grabbed a laptop since it says blue on the package, but didn't bother to make sure it said backlit on the box when packingfor shipping.I went to office max to get a usb over head computer light for him. It works ok.Husband is keeping the laptop anyway.Potential buyer be aware of description and make a note there are several of same color with difference between touchscreen vs non-touchscreen, backlit vs non-backlit.,This can be returned with a restocking fee.

Just purchased this laptop and so for its been exactly what we needed. Light weight, screen looks great, and just an overall good item. Had a slight hiccup with the order but the seller promptly responded to my message and took care of the situation with zero hassle.
