It was the hit of the party until the remote quit working and the number one gift quickly became the worst. The light itself is fantastic. But to a six year old, when you want purple lights we better have purple lights. Ordered a second one to hopefully appease her.

Overall fun kids night light with a nice mermaid image, pretty colors and light effects. Feels like it could break easily so I would recommend buying this for kids old enough to understand that they need to be careful not to play with the actual mermaid. Also, remote freezes up whe the light’s brightness buttons are used and the device needs to be reset to use again. (Powered off/on) I explained to my daughter she had to not touch those buttons because I don’t want to go through the trouble of exchanging.

I purchased this gift for a couple of very good little girls bedroom. They are really in to mermaids and all things Disney so I thought it would be a be a hit with them and I was not wrong! The "lamp" gives the illusion of a 3D hologram in a multitude of colors and also acts as a great nightlight. While it is lightweight it seems to be well built but not an item to be played with. You will want to put it on a shelf or dresser and let the reward be the light itself. The lamp comes with a USB cord, base, character cutout and remote but no wall adapter for the USB. Likely you have an old adapter laying around that will work. Alternatively, you can use batteries to power the unit. All in all, an inexpensive and unique gift that a couple of little girls were thrilled to receive.

The product is cute but broke a few days after we purchased it. The part where it plugs into the nightlight came out. The remote also doesn't correspond with the colors exactly. I like the concept but it cost too much to break that fast.

Awesome nightlight for kids room. My little one has this next to her bed and there are many color options. Love that it has a remote so you don’t have to get up to change color or turn off. Oh...and it runs off of batteries. The batteries have lasted about 20+ hours so far with no problems.

Didn’t try the remote but like the lamp. Perfect and just as described. You can change the colors by tapping the base so I didn’t need the remote

I really like this mermaid night light. It comes with a remote with multiple colors to choose from and it also the light can be made to fade darker or brighter. Only thing, purchase a usb wall outlet plug if you want to plug it in as the cord that comes with it is USB and you have to either plug it into your computer or purchase a USB/wall plug in order to plug it into the wall. Generally, you can get one of those plugs for about $4.00.
