UPDATE: I washed and washed again and washed again but COULD NOT resolve the chemical compound odor of this item. This is UNACCEPTABLE on several levels, the greatest of which is growing skepticism for unknown standards (safety being #1) under which this food preparation item was manufactured. Again, this experience leaves me ‘on the road again’ to return this item for yet another more essential issue than just incorrect size reference - food safety.Some Order of Importance:SafetyFunctionalityOperationalAccurate RefrenceHey Folks! A CORRECTION is in short order for this item listing where this item is listed as 6-QUART when is actually 6.8 LITERS which equals 7.1 QUARTS! For me, it barely fits on my small stove. I really hate running around to return such items; where I might as well had made the correct purchase in person - where incorrect description put me on the road anyway! At the end of the day, any value was at a loss to me on this purchase as it ended up costing me more than the advertised price to return it.

Got this as a Christmas gift, and used it on Christmas to make dinner!I used to have a porcelain dutch oven, but it cracked. I wanted to replace it for over a year, but the cast iron ones were too heavy for my liking. Then one day, I found this.The ceramic coating is super easy to clean, and food doesnt stick to it. The red/orange color is amazing, even better than the pictures to me.It holds heat for quite a long time, just as you would expect from real ceramic. So I was pleasantly surprised by that.

I just used my 6 quart Dutch oven to cook pot roast with potatoes and carrots. The result was amazing: moist and tender beef and perfectly tender roasted potatoes, carrots, and onions. The meal cooked in under 3 hours at 350 degrees, no oil needed when browning the meat, and minimal water halfway up the sides of the roast. The meat was fork tender and delicious. The pot was very brown inside after cooking, but it cleaned up in a snap with soap and water, no real scrubbing. The pot is large but lightweight. Acts like a cast iron oven but so much easier to use. I am in love with it!

I was hoping for a more sturdy pot, but this is rather flimsy - I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a more traditional dutch oven
