Vornado 460 Small Whole Room Air Circulator Fan, White

The fan came to me after 2 weeks of placing an order.The product page does not tell you, that this product needs a step-down converter and only after you have purchased it will a mail arrive asking you to buy one separtely.Coming to the performance.Most people like me, are not well versed with the decibel output.When it says that the product is only 50 Db loud, one assumes a silent function. That's where we ho wrong.The fan is quite noisy in the background on the lowest setup.The only plus point is the air throw.I am not very happy with the fan, because my primary concern was " sound".A big throw fan alone comes at 1/3rd its prize.I won't buy another one.

Seller is non responsive to the product sold. Product delivered is not in working condition. On delivery product was plugged to the outlet using the converter like the other US products I own.

Excellent!! I only use vornado now. I prefer fans and natural air to AC unless it’s very hot outside, especially at night! My Vornados get me through the North Carolina weather with NO or MINIMAL AC almost exclusively, unless it’s 95+ degrees outside. I purchased 3 small fans for my office, kitchen, and bathroom and one large fan (660) that I use in my bedroom or the living room when I have guests. I use them DAILY and I’m presently sitting comfortably about 8 feet from the small one, with no AC in early July. I purchased the fans about 4 years ago and I’m still loving them. They are quiet on lower settings but mine are always on high, so I hear the comforting white noise of the fan, which is my preference. During zoom meetings, I use a quiet lower setting.Only two challenges I’ve experienced so far:1. The smaller fans rise out of position and would eventually point towards the ceiling if I don’t use something to keep it wedged in place. I use a rock. Not ideal, but I make it work.2. The fuse in the plug may pop after a while. This looks like a minor job to replace it. I’m ordering a replacement fuse today and will report back if there are any issues. I’m not anticipating any.Overall I love it! It was worth the investment.

Vornado makes some of the best fans, and this one is no exception. It puts out a large amount of air for its size, and I think the design would look good in just about any house or apartment. I also really like that it uses a manual speed dial, because I can leave it set to my preferred speed, plug it into a smart plug, and control it with my voice. It’s a simple feature, but a really nice one.

We bought this for our room which we share with our 6 month old. On level one it's a very comfortable level and nice white noise too. On level two, I still don't mind the noise to sleep and it's super powerful! We point it toward the ceiling and it feels like we have AC on! Almost a little too cold sometimes. Our room is 12x11 ish. But I feel like this would be good for an even bigger room. I haven't used the other levels as we don't need to. They do get significantly louder the higher level you go and very powerful in output. The only problem is we have replaced this once as it started making a shaky noise within a month. But the company's customer service is amazing and they will send you a replacement right away. I think they have a 5 year warrenty? I'll never go back to a regular fan again!
